Instead of having loads of individual threads with ppl posting random sigs they made, its a lot more sensible to jst have 1 thread for it i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif. i know there is an avatar rating thread in general discussion, but thats not really to do with showing off a sig uve jst made and its not in the fanart section i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif.

Try getting in touch with the person that made the sig, hopefully they kept their working file intact.

Resize (http://studentpages.scad.edu/~abcook20/sigs/genji_resize.gif) I resized it for you, but doing it from the .gif file instead of the original .psd made it look jaggie and aliased. It'd be better to get the maker to resize it when he also corrects the spelling.

Don't forget, though, that if you don't change it to the version within the size limits within 24 hours, I WILL be forced to delete it.

i think if you change it to rgb mode and THEN scale it down and then export it as gif again, that should be fine
also, it shouldnt be too hard to just swap the C and S, since both letters in that word are over a solid white background

The problem with swapping them like that is the gradient that the text has, and the drop shadow.

i dont think the text actually has a graident, just 3d shading to the letters individually....and if you look closely, you'll see that the dropshadow just barely drops down below the character in front of it.....i dont think it'd be too hard to swap, especially since the dropshadows both drop behind a letter "e" as well

Sharingan, sigh i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif, it's a known bug, you'll have to do everything again, add the sig with the command and the avatar also, if you change anything in the sig the avatar will be a defualt one.

Nice sig PaD, the clean feel of it is very nice for a beginner, though I definately agree with Kagari that your choice of font leaves something to be desired.

As for new sig contests, I dunno. Having something long-running like that really burns you out.

I really had fun the first round, when all the images were chosen for us. It led to an interesting type of problem solving -- trying to be original when everyone else started with the exact same source. In the future I'd be more interested in doing maybe single rounds of that same format -- the winner is whoever gets the most votes, and we leave it at that.

yep i agree with lasaire. jst like 1 round every 2 weeks. any1 can compete, and whoever gets the most votes wins that round. i dont know what the prize would be if any. mebe u can be crowning sig master for 2 weeks until the nxt round is over i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

a selection of about 10 pics are available to use for any character be it naruto or whatever. i think the winner of the previous round should get to chose the character for use in the next round, that would be interesting.

ye the font I used for the other sig wasn't really planned ;\, I didn't know I could download fonts, but a dude I met on #gotwoot got me hooked up with both backgrounds and fonts.

well highbass, i recognize both of those photoshop tricks from tutorials ive seen......its good to pick up some of them, but you should work it in with a style of your own, and find a good way to mix them into one image, instead of looking sectioned up like that. The techiness on the right is cool, and the gradient with the glowing power text is cool, but the combination of the two just seems to miss the mark. Also, your background in the sig seems sharper than the image in the foreground, which really messes with my perception i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

i give that comment a big indeed. there was something that was off about that sig but i couldnt put my finger on it. i now see its the wooshyness of the text is too far off from the more angularness of the stuff on the right.

actually, i think the gradient and techyness work together.....almost like the gradient is a panel that overlaps part of a circuitboard or something, but you should just stick with simpler font techniques and maybe mess around with the image placement (and clarity) as well.....if you decide to stick with the bg, then you dont want to have the right side weighted too much with details, making it unbalanced

also try the layer blending modes to see what interesting effects you can get with the sasuke pics and the bg

hmm....well i think you should kick up the techiness you used to have. Its good to have some strong details to add more interest to the pic. You might also want to make some use of the space in the top left corner, like either another small picture or some text. And one other thing, what happened to sasuke's face? it looks so....dirty i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif
judging from the rough pixelation im guessing you tried using the difference or exclusion blending option. Personally, i find those options tend to mess around with the image in ways that are too drastic to be of alot of use. Also i think the blue and red details in him dont match with the color scheme of the rest of the sig. Try setting the blending mode of the sasuke pic to luminosity, and see how that works for you color-wise.
