Actually, I used diagonal "scanlines" on the other one, so they aren't exactly the same. I also actually used that same font too. And the bar... i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif But, ahh... I'm just using the techniques I recently learned, so sorry if it seems repetitive. I did experiment with "special brushing" though, so that helps. And I (personally) think the render makes up for it. Anyways... I need to go out and get some more fonts... to be used in sigs... but I don't know a good place to download them.

There we go, I'm done with my little Seed Festival.. having covered all my favorite characters. The last one up is Rey!
I like it more than I liked my Shani, but well, yellow ain't my favorite color. But it fitted the sig better than making it white. (it's either white or yellow for Rey)
I also edited Shani slightly, he is more transparent now and has more shadows (a vast improvement in my opinion).

also....its a little too common for new PS users to use lots of lens flares.....it's handy to add little highlights to surfaces or combined with filters to add some nice effects, but a big lens flare that stands out is a common sign that says (to put it bluntly) "Hi, I'm a noob"

I wasn't at home when I did this and there was no internet connection, so I used whatever pics I could find in my manga folder..... thus the constraint.

As for the lens flares thing I know it's sort of common for new PS users, but that doesn't really stop me from using it..... It's simple to put in and I'm too lazy to experiment with brushes. i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

itachi, try pulling up a levels layer up top of your bg layers.

take the white arrow and pull it inward a little, and the black one inward too.

That should make it look sexier.

I think it would look better, if the render wasn't covered with brushing. The text could use a little bit of work too.

It also looks like you mixed abstract brushes with grunge ones.
I personally think that using the same brush set gives the sig a certain 'theme'.

Other than that it looks really good, nice choice of colors.

you might want to look into getting 3ds 7, it has lots of nice additions, including some awesome modifications to the already-awesome editable poly tool. I'm not sure if version 5 even had the editable poly or not, but basically, its a superior version of editable mesh.....in pretty much every way

NM, i think the tech contrasts too much with the background. Normally those stylistic brushes are just to fill in empty space with subtle details. Also, you might want to avoid using the same tech brush in different parts of an image (unless its a brush that tiles well). Other than that, pretty much the same as what kagemane said, avoid blurry foregrounds with crisp backgrounds.

the kon one works much better than your previous ones alhuin....i think its because of your color scheme for it

one thing that kind of bugs me that tends to recurr in your recent stuff is the large amounts of empty space. Filling it with text and decals help, but don't be afraid to pull out the crop tool and trim it down as small as you can while retaining all the important stuff. If you crop the bottom half of that kon sig, it'll be perfect.

Thanks for the comments guys. I can't do much about the render since both of them (only 2 were colored from the chapter) weren't Paint Pixel colored. Hopefully someone will color it that way, and I'll replace the render. I'll also make it less tech-ified to. Assertn, you think if I add in grid-lines, it'll help the background a bit? You were kinda right about some of the tech there, I'm thinkin about keeping just the tech that shows information on Sakura.

@Kage: Thanks for the nice comments Kage. I try to copy others styles as well (Like a50's), I just like to try new techniques as I learn them or new brushes. I don't know about anyone else but downloading brushes and downloading stuff in general is very addictive. NarutoMaster: I have to agree with others in that the sig is way to light colored, try using a darker green, maybe add some different brushing.

NM- I like how you had the chibi lee, I think the Lee on the left wasn't a good enough render. Lee doesn't have many good renders out there but keep searching. Was he on a manga cover? I agree with the bg being too light I also think it's a bit repetetive but only a little. I suggest making those white fractal brushing into black brushing.

I was talking about the street fighter text but it looks fine now without it. Before it just didn't blend because it was hidden (thought it would look good with the text above the bandana. The way it is now looks good though. I prefer the current one as it is anime related, and the other one looks to be just an abstract render, but I could be wrong and I'm not seeing what I am supposed to, I did think PSJ'S blnded gundum was brushing, so.....

Nice sigs everyone. Foo... I especially like that Kakashi one. Good job on the Street Fighter one Kage (and nice revision by Foo as well). One thing that kinda bugs me though is how the "Street Fighter" text (on Foo's) is transparent so much on the brushing. But, it still looks good.

The stroke on the "Naruto" text is too thick imo. Try moving it from 3px to 1px. And the colours don't really fit well together. Also... the render seems little blurry. You should also add a border.

@Al: your stuff just keeps getting better, good job. Also I thinl red would look sexy with kenpachi. Also if you did added a few things to those two they could be very sexy but as they are now nice job, I'll get with you later.
@Ki-boy: not to be a jerk or anything, but are you color blind? I think if you cosidered the coloring of your sigs they would look much better. To often the colors you use contrast way too much and are way too bright. But you have to start somewhere so keep it up and you will slowly improve like most of us here have I'm sure.
@Kage: Glad you like the changes a colaboration would be fine, and interesting as well. I think text is one of my weak points so it's interesting to here you say you like my use of text. Backgrounds arn't my expertise either but you always seem to have some nice looking one's.
@Uzumaki Naruto: Like your current sig but it needs something, unfortunately I cant think of what, maybe some more brushing with the darker orange. Looks good though keep up the the good work.

Ah, i like it cause of the diffrent style, it's rather flat and simple and he is well blended into the sig. He isn't even the top layer. The haze kind of brushing is what i like most about it.

I'm a bit tired of the usual technique everyone use on sigs. The sig comp was nice cause some diffrent styles was used. I liked how you did to seperate bgs in one with the red on one side and blueish on one side. But mostly the stuff looks way to similar. It feels like everyone is trying to copy each others styles.

Wow... seems this place isn't getting much action with the Sig comp. going on. Nice new sigs by a50, Kage, PSj... and anyone else I forgot to mention.

While my internet wasn't working, I made a new sig. At first, I tried to make one with an idea like a50's. After awhile I decided to make a different verision with a different (yet sort-of repetitive) style. So, here they are:

I believe PSJ was talking about the difference between those two sigs. They are pretty much the same... besides one brush-stroke. I may be wrong, but I noticed this as well, so I thought I would point it out...

That render is kickass and i like how you positioned it. But the background is lacking abit to match that render, maybe a bit more burshing and take out Orochimaru's eyes.

Looks good but i think it would look better if the render was a bit brighter. The background is kickass, a bit diffrent and it gives me a metal gear solid feeling for some reason i think the cover of MGS 2 looked similar, i might be wrong though.

Yea when you used that render it looked sick. Those kinda brushes don't match very well with that render I guess.
