NIT PICK ALERT: Are you talking about the M1 Astray (not M10), the mass-produced model? Because technically the Red, Blue, and Gold frames were proto-types for those so they would be the originals.

i wouldnt advise using sharpies, thier ink reflects an undesireable copper-ish reflection when light hits it, and doesnt look good at all. i know this from experience i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif

id say either wait til you can get more markers, or try and use some testors flat black with a really fine brush. maybe have a rag handy with a little bit of thinner on it to fix mistakes hehe

Sakura Pigma Micron.
It's a miro pigment ink that's waterproof and fade proof.
It's ultra thin and costs about $2.50.

I would not pick the other 2 sets, b/c they're toooo small.
Plus the Sky Grasper is compatible with the 1/60 PG Strike...

Of course it's not the same height, AtHRunOwNZaLL. The models go by scale. If the skygraspher isn't as high as a Gundam in the show it definately will not be as high as a Gundam in the PG model kit.

Unless of course you're comparing a 1/60 PG with a 1/144 HG....... : )

The PG 1/60 SkyGrasper is sized proportioned to the 1/60 PG Strike. Hence the same size ratio.
The Aile Pack's wing length is proportioned just perfectly (PG)... pardon the pun.
Having it will not be a disappointment to any PG collector/builder.

Well, the 1/60 SkyGrasper's wing span is as long as the1/100 MG Wing Zero's wing span, granted the wings cannot be positioned completely horizontally. I wonder if it's the same with Seed's Freedom when it has its wings all opened up.

Anyone have any experience with Gundam Markers? I plan on branching off from my PG and MG only scale and getting some No Grade models (Red and Blue 2nd L Astray units.) I want them looking badass like in the pics so I'm also planning on getting the markets instead of paint.. i suck at painting. So are they like... permanent and quick dry or can u fix your mistakes before it sets in?

Also does anyone have a website with good deals for the markers and the two Astray units. I'm currently checking out www.plajapan.com right now.

Hey Psyke, have you heard anything more about the PG Launcher/Sword Strikers? Your post back in July is the only thing I've been able to find about it. I just got the PG Sky Grasper and have begun saving up for the PG Strike, but if possible I would like to get those to go with the SkyGrasper as well.

Oh yeah, definitely. The sheer amount of detail is amazing. Even on the interior parts that may never be seen again now that it is assembled. That is why I asked Psyke about the Sword and Launcher Strikers. I would expect them to be cheaper then the PG Strike and I can use them with the Sky Grasper. I know they would look really cool!

Yeah, I have the 1/60 Striker Weapon Systsm model kit. Like Wizard said, it won't work. The Striker Weapon System packs have a round connection to plug into Strike, the PG Aile pack has a wide flat tab to plug into Strike.

I kinda forgot whether it included pictures, but I will post any information if I can get a hold of it. BTW: they are never gonna plan on releasing Justice in MG status are they? It feels like Athrun has been lacking popularity... Just a note, the Sky Grasper does NOT come with the Strike's Rifle or Shield. It can equip them, but you have to buy the Strike to get them.

Also at the bottom of the page, there is a link back to the "gallery" which has pictures of other models that I assume the guy did. His 1/144 IJ was really nice!

I got a newb question. I never used paint before so I want to ask this. I got a box of those paint that comes in 3 colors and its made just for HG strike rouge 1/144. There's also other ones for different models. I want to know if i need some kind of thinner to mix the paint or can i just apply it directly with a brush? I would think that Sword Calamity would be one of the easier models to "kitbash" on your own. Especially if you choose to do "Unit 01" since that one is the same color as the Calamity except the added parts. Just buy Calamity and 2 Sword Strikes. You would have to paint the Sword Strike parts, and would have to remodel the backpack some for the second sword. Depending on how the arms are designed the arms from Strike may need to be substituted and painted, but larger parts are easier to paint.

there are no 1/144hg sword strike and the sword calamity parts are all red and u will need to paint it because there are supposed to be differents colors on the red parts too. And I paint marker that Ginn. And yea i also do feel sorry for it lol

I was too lazy to make sure there was a 144HG. Oh well.

Sword Calamity (http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/seed-msv/gat-x133.htm) check the "Rena Imelia" Colors. Unit 01 was just basically Calamity with upgrades. The red one is simply Edward Harraleson's custom paint scheme.

I think it's the same as the MG Freedom but with shiny peices. If it is, then you'll love it =] By far, freedom is my fav model (surpasses my PG Wing Zero)

Also about the bracket, are you talking about the stand? If its the stand then theres 2 versions of the 1/100 Destiny and SF. Limited First Edition one (with the stands) and the normal one (without the stands)

First off, try to avoid double posting.

Second, by "bracket" I am assuming you mean the stand so it can look like it is flying (if you imagine the stand isn't there). Those were only available with the first run of the model's release and were called "limited edition" for a reason.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but what are scratch build gundams? I noticed that freedom is significantly different from my MG freedom and the head is just badass.

EDIT:: Also for the painters, which is the best time (or time you prefer) to paint your gundams? Before or after building them?

Scratch built Gundams are custom designed and made by seasoned modellers. They are not for sale and not released by Bandai. Most MSVs are scratch built as well.

btw, can someone give me a step-by-step intructions on how to put on dry decals starting from them being on the paper thing, not something like "rub them on" and that's it, i need more thorough information please

How I usually do it:

1. Cut out the decal so that it would fit nicely on the plastic piece.
2. Secure it so it does not move around, with either modelling tape or if I'm lazy just hold it down tight.
3. I use a pencil to rub the decal onto the plastic. Preferably a dark 2B pencil so you can see the parts you've already went through and not miss and part of the decal.

May not be the best way to do it but no problems for me : )

Waiting for my Astrays (Red and blue 2nd L) to get here... also ordered like 30 bucks worth of gundam markers. Now heres a little question, my METEOR model is already constructed but I plan on going over some parts with the markers. Among one of the parts, I want to actually paint on the decals. Any tips on how to do this? (The part I'm mainly concerned with is where it says Mobilesuit Embedded Tactical EnfORcer, I want to paint it on with the black marker.) And I just realized that I ordered 2 black fine point markers and forget to get a fat ended black marker so I guess I can be really exact with my coloring.

He's right in a sense. The limited edition with the stand comes in a 2 sided packaging, one on top and one at the bottom. The normal version does not come with the other packaging behind the normal box art. This also applies to Strike Freedom. Destiny and SF's stand has 2 different connector....

Yea Destiny's is a clear reddish/pink, while SF is a clear blue. In most cases people paint over them.. i think.

Half were taken at day..then I was late for work...then I took the other half at night. The flash on the cam kinda threw off the Blue Frame's color but the pics are the secksi ^_^

I've been to some other countries and saw some extremely fake model kits. They changed ?Bandai" to "Bandi" and "Gundam" to "Geoda". They even have fake perfect grades and fake dendrobiums! One of my friends made the mistake of buying a couple of Seed models. Most of the pieces are distorted and cannot even be put together unless you're using glue. Wonder why anyone would buy these cheap imitations if they saw the package inside.

OH yea!!! rofl...one time i went to this lil place where they sell like imported stuff and me and my friends went in and saw some Really fake master grades. And then i saw the gundam seed models no grade and it said "geoda" and i was laughing so hard and then my friend said its how they pronuce is in japan...so i was like WTF? but we just left...i didn't kno weather it was fake or not till now

The 1/100 SF Gundam is sold out in Singapore. Even those without the stand. The next batch of SF Gundams will probably be the normal one without the stand. I've ordered mine from HLJ as I don't wanna wait.

I don't have a Zeong, but this MG kit's on sale at most model kit shops here. You can get it here at almost half the price shown on the HLJ site, probably due to low sales.

I have the Rick Dias(original colours), it's a great model. All the newer MGs are really good in detail and posability. And since it has big feet, it's balance is great. The Rick Dias is my favourite non-gundam ms and I was not disappointed by this model.

Does anyone own the Chaos 1/100 HG gundam model? Is it worth the buy? I've been thinking about purchasing it. I'm actually pretty new to the gundam model thing, the only model I have built is the 1/144 no grade strike freedom, hehehe. Can anyone reccomend any good stores for purchasing? I know www.hlj.com and www.hobbybuy.com have been reccommended. Hobbybuy doesn't have the chaos gundam or I can't find it on the website and hlj is out of stock of the model until december. Is there another store someone can reccomend that is on the cheaper side? hehhe, jobless me doesn't have a ton of spare cash. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

OH WOW...Crome it and then slap A Gundam Seed Destiny Label on it...IT REALLY TURNED INTO A GSD MG.

Bandai wasted their time croming the Freedom because the time gap between it and the regular MG is too long. Many people wouldve owned the regular MG freedom. Like they will buy another one but shiny and 30bucks more. So much for "extra finish"
