Not just equal but also relatable. Hunters and non-hunters live in literally different worlds. A relationship where the partner hasn't got the slightest idea of what the other is going through every day might be sometimes strenuous. It could also be that especially a higher ranked hunter would start to feel detached from the normal (non-hunter) way of life and society already. Kind of like war veterans had difficulties when returning to the civilian life. That being said, I'd guess more hunters have a non-hunter partner than another hunter, should they have a steady relationship at all. But it would be all up to each individual what they would want.
