Although we have been through multiple timelines already with multiple branchings due to the d-mails, so for the memory transfers to have happened afterwards is troublesome in itself. Just like the old crt being a part of the system by chance, it might be Hououin's memories are transferred by chance as well. A more logical explanation would naturally be much nicer, naturally.
