I just started following the movie stuff and was a viewer of the first generation Trasnsformers; however, I am only familiar (re:remember) a few from that list. Could somebody post some pics from the old-school cartoon of the Transformers that are going to be in the movie? Thanks ahead of time.

@Carnage, your talking about Armada it sounds like. Hotshot is basically Bumblebee and Red Alert is a cross between Rachet and Jazz (mostly Rachet but with a bit of Jazz's looks).

A jet? More like he transforms into a Junkyard. Seriously, WTF? I honestly can't imagine the designers looking at Megatrons face and saying "Yeah, that's our Megatron".
I do sort of like Starscream though. And Optimus is so so.
OMFG! That is NOT Megatron!!! They may have ruined the movie before it even came out...if the concept art for the Transformers are this bad, I can only wonder about the script. With Michael Bay on board (re: Director of the worst movie in 10 years...Pearl Harbor) at the helm, well let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if Megatron transformed into a steam pile of crap!

Lets all accept teh fact tah this film will blow hard, and i mean hard like battle filed earth hard.
It's hard to go lower than Battle Field Earth, but with Megatron looking like that yup they're heading in that direction. I'm still holding with all my fingers crossed that Michael Bay will prove us wrong.
they look more like exo-skeletons then robots. And am i the only one who think truck optimus is completely gay? fire truck would've been better.
Assassin: I think all the transformers we have seen for the moive look lamo! There are so many problems with the concepts that it is hard to say that one is gayer than the other. My biggest dissapointment (and I think most people echo the same sentiments) is that they don't 'transform' from their vehicles to the robots the same. I mean common, I am used to seeing Optimus with the fricken grille and headlights staring at you from his chest...that goes for all of the transformers, you can't really tell what the hell they are 'cept for their colors. I am all for sprucing up the vehicle designs like making the semi-truck a little different (re: more detailed) with some flames, but the focking robot forms looks compeletly different. I second the vote on Battlefield Earth bad!

I know what happened. They let those Fairy and Orc designers from WETA do the designs. i recognize the art from those EVA live action movie concepts. Thanks WETA, the last of my childhood has been stripped to the bone, rapped, then stappeled back together in the wrong f-ing order.
In the webcast the screenwriters claimed that Bay wanted the the Transromfation sequences to be realistc and not require any 'phantom assistance' such as parts materializingfrom no where to complete the change. Thie was a reason they gave for Bumbleebee being resast as a Camero instead of a VW Bug. That Megatron model doesn't look like it could become that plane without some parts being called from the ether. Either the screenwriters are liars or those pics are some form of early draft and aren't going to be used in the movie. The trailer that came out was already shot down as having nothing to do with the true plot of the movie. So I wouldn't use those to write off the whole movie just yet.

Yah i hope they do a better job on star scream, and Megatron just looks ... not like Megatron. I'm hoping like some of the series, the autobot's numbers will increase (new allies).
I believe Blackout is an original character created for the movie. As for the list of characters/transformers in the movie, it is already out, but I'm hoping for cameos here and there.
Whose idea was it to have scorpinoc in this? He was in Beast Wars, and he wasn't by any means the best character in Beastwars.
Actually he was in G1; Scorpi. I just don't see the need to have him in this movie.
