Yea when I first saw him and they ended the episode with him saying he wanted them all to do something.

I thought he was going to ask them to kill him cuz he had lung cancer or something stupid. Lol he definitely had some kind of serious illness, you could even see it in his eyes and under them. Even if he didn't die like that. I'd say he didn't have long left to live.
