Sternbild City is home to people called "Next," who use their special abilities to protect the people as superheroes. These heroes solve cases and save lives so they can wear sponsor logos or acquire "hero points." Their activities are documented on the popular program "Hero TV," which picks the "King of Heroes" in a yearly ranking. The veteran hero Wild Tiger has always preferred to work alone, but now he's been assigned the rookie Barnaby Brooks Jr., who has a different perspective on being a superhero.

This show has an interesting concept. Instead of being vigilantes or members of some secret society, the superheroes here are like players of a reality show with full corporate sponsorships to boot!

Also, having a non teenage character as the protagonist is a big plus for me.

It's kinda sad to see that, despite being the father figure of the younger heroes, Kotetsu's obligations as a father to Kaede is lacking.

And fans has dubbed the guy in the end as "Naked Fire Jesus." lol

What Jake Martinez had were two powers, not a sudden power boost.

Edit: Also, is Scarf-tan the waitress in the restaurant where Blue Rose and co. were dinning? I can't confirm it because her hair is covering her right mole.

Well, that was heartwarming. I'm glad Kotetsu finally found his resolve and didn't become a Mr. Legend. His resignation may be a potential death-flag, though. I hope I'm wrong here.
The way he lifted and threw that tree after running out of time may indicate something. But adrenaline can really do wonders in those kind of situation so maybe it's just that.

This year's 35th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine is announcing on Thursday that Hiroshi Ueda (Full Metal Panic! Sigma, The Story of Beijing Opera) will illustrate a manga based on the Tiger & Bunny superhero anime starting in this year's 4th issue of Shueisha's bi-monthly Miracle Jump magazine, to be released on August 11.

Weekly Young Jump announced earlier this month that Masakazu Katsura will be drawing a special 39-page one-shot Tiger & Bunny manga. Katsura is the original character designer of Tiger & Bunny, and he is also the creator of such manga as DNA² , I''s, Video Girl Ai, and Zetman.

Man, this episode was awesome!
I really love Ben and Kotetsu's conversation. It somehow made the episode more lighthearted despite all the crap Kotetsu's going through. And kudos to Lunatic for figuring out that something is terribly wrong.
Kaede may have copied Maverick's powers after their contact. If she did, I wonder if it will be a plot device in the up coming episodes.
The 2.0 suits are so fucking ugly. And the way "Dark Tiger" moves suggests that it's a robot/android underneath that costume.

The official Twitter account for the franchise revealed on Saturday that the new character in the trailer is Robin, as voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi. Masayuki Ozaki, a producer for Tiger & Bunny at the anime studio Sunrise, revealed during the Tiger & Bunny panel at Anime Expo last Saturday that a new NEXT character will appear in the first film. Original character designer Masakazu Katsura created the character.
