You can pay off principal on any car and still have a good car instead of an econobox. If you plan and budget, money shouldn't be the main issue.

Snow tires and chains should keep you on the road and out of the bad spots, but you want some power to get through the bad roads, especially the sparsely populated roads in Montana. Also keep in mind the socio-anthropological factors. He's a gay Hispanic man living in Montana. At least he doesn't have to drive around in a foreign econobox.

You've never driven in snow, have you? The 1/8th of an inch Texas gets every four years and can't deal with because they have 8 plows in the entire state doesn't count. Snow tires keep you on the road, chains keep you from getting stuck.

He's not climbing rocks with a jeep ffs. You don't need power. Even the farm roads in Montana are in better condition than Michegan roads. What exactly would he ever need to "power through"?

When you get wedged in a snowdrift, you don't power out of it, you dig out of it and throw down some ash or sand or whatever. Ease out of it. Ash works the best for sure. When you attempt to "power" your way out of it, you make ice and hardpack that you can't get out of, and then you need to get towed.

I lived up north for a few years. Farms in Montana? A bit too cold there for farming. Lots of country roads and unpaved roads though. You need power to get through muddy roads but I guess not really for the highways and main streets. I think any car with 109hp just isn't right for any driving condition.

UPDATE: http://www.intlauto.com/showroom/

This site has a Build-a-car option, this way we can have a look at all of my options. I`m inclined towards the pathfinder, but remember, I know nothing of cars.

I know that most ppl would recommend you getting a pickup or huge 4x4, a range rover, land cruiser, forester, etc but I would suggest something like a Fiat panda 4x4. Small wheel, light, 4x4, perfect for snowed asphalt roads and pretty cheap.

Animeniax
Fri, 12-26-2014, 01:17 AM
I'm pretty sure they don't sell the Panda here in the US. Regardless buying a Fiat will mean higher maintenance costs, if there are even Fiat dealers in Montana. But a pickup truck, while useful, would be tough to drive in snow and ice due to poor weight distribution. You'd have to carry a few hundred pounds of ballast in the bed to keep from fish-tailing. A Subaru Forester or similar small SUV would be a good choice.

Edort4

Uh yeah didnt think of that. Its a shame though. When we go to skii to the alps or pyrenees we rent cars, tried a few, and the Fiat is the cheapest and most amazing one in snow conditions. Suzuki Jimny and Subaru Forester felt really good too.

I`m buying a next (current?) gen console soon, last three generations I vastly preferred my playstations, last gen I got both the 360 and ps3 and the ps3 won by a tiny bit for me. It might seem like I`m a sony fanboy but I swear it`s all a coincidence. I like to keey my mind open so I`m listening to opinions, ps4 or xbone?

Who can help me: A person with an English, Retail version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

How you can help me: Enter your key into Microsoft's website to obtain the ISO download link. Send me the link.

Background information:

I've got some OS corruption and want to perform a non-destructive repair-install. My original disc is useless for this because it isn't Service Pack 1 like my OS is currently. Microsoft somehow thinks my key is for a Korean OS and only presents me that ISO. My OS is English and the Korean ISO will screw things up. MS says I need a new key but can't hand out W7 keys anymore. I don't see a W8.1 key (paid or unpaid) as a viable solution.

If you can help me, that'd be great. Otherwise I'll sit on this until W10.

Microsoft software recovery website: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

Tool for retrieving your OS's key: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html

How about a Finnish version? According to the Americans, Finnish is easier for English speakers than Korean!

No number of files or settings saved could be adequate.

Finnish would not suffice Kraco. Thank you though.

If you go the Jack Sparrow route you could save lots of time and headaches. You could repair system with the original disc and then download and apply SP1. Is exactly what a SP1 system does If Im correct. Installs the base system then applies patch. Only saves you the download process.

Buffalobiian
Wed, 05-27-2015, 06:03 AM
It doesn't allow you to do that though if you're doing a repair install, because after the SP1 update the files have changed, and so has the operating system's version number. I've got the original disc and it doesn't let me do this.

I've looked on alternative sites as well, and the ones I trust all have pre-activated versions whereas I'm looking for an untampered one. I could have saved all this headache by not deleting the SP1 rollback files (900MB or so), but they were gone a long time ago.

I back up weekly, but it seems that Sunday's copy was already too late (and I only have space for one copy, so I only keep the latest one).

Im not completely sure what pre-activated means but I found lots of torrents of the w7 ultimate sp1 (wich I believe include all versions, from home basic to enterprise) in jack sparrow bay. I remember using one years ago (4 or 5) in my old rig without any problems.

Pre-activated means that the disc has been tweaked such that upon install Windows already activates itself as genuine (as opposed to install-then-apply-crack), which means that the files have been tampered with.

I've found a mirror site here that seems to be a legit as it can be from a non-Microsoft source, and testing it on a virtual machine seems successful. I'll be testing it for real soon enough.

Dumb question.

Fact: physical therapist assistant shall practice under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist who is responsible for and participates in a patient's care. This supervision requires the licensed physical therapist to make an onsite visit to the client at least once for every six visits made by the assistant or once every 2 weeks, whichever occurs first.

True or false: A supervising physical therapist must make an onsite visit to patients at least once for every 10 visits made by a physical therapy student.

Side note: For all intents and purpose, a student and an assistant are considered the same.

Buffalobiian
Wed, 08-19-2015, 09:42 AM
True.

The supervisor must visit at least once every 6 visits. By the time a student has made 10 visits, the supervisor must therefore have dropped by once or more.

The two-week rule only comes into effect when you don't clock up 6 visits by two weeks, which means the client gets their supervisor visit before the 6th visit. Again, this means they've had one by Visit 10.

I'm answering this from a multiple choice paper perspective. If there's a better answer (one that says "Every 6th visit"), I'd pick that.

UChessmaster
Wed, 08-19-2015, 09:58 AM
True.

The supervisor must visit at least once every 6 visits. By the time a student has made 10 visits, the supervisor must therefore have dropped by once or more.

Let`s take the following example.

A supervisor visits the patient after 8 visits by the assistant/student. According to the law, this is wrong, but according to the true/false statement, this is fine, therefore the answer should be false?

Buffalobiian
Wed, 08-19-2015, 06:29 PM
It's consistent with the true/false statement but doesn't meet the minimum requirements. It's not acceptable.

Edort4
Wed, 08-19-2015, 08:01 PM
I dunno if Im understanding this.

The supervisor can (must) do (at least 1) an onsite visit since stundets visit 0 to 6. If he hasnt done the visit in that lapse by the 7th student visit it would be at fault.

Thats how I read it. In the 10 visits case he must have done an onsite, at least, before the 7th student visit.

And I would say that the statment is false. Cause it may happen that by th 10th visit he only needs one visit, but by the 20th (2 10 visits) he must have gone onsite 3 times at least. Thus breaking the 1 visit per 10 visits.

Buffalobiian

Hey all, I have the Avermedia Dark Crystal C027 capture card installed in my Win7 64 PC. I have my cable box connected via HDMI to a splitter/HDCP stripper that then connects to the C027 HDMI-in port. My PC video/audio output (from a GTX770 with the latest Geforce drivers) goes to a Denon AVR-X1000 receiver which then feeds signal to my TV and HT speakers. I'm using the latest software and drivers (AVer MediaCenter 1.7.9.91, Driver v1.54.x.82). I can see video in the [capture] mode, but no audio. Also when I capture some video and then play it back, there is no audio captured.

Some troubleshooting:
I have the capture [configure sound] option set to stereo mix (which is enabled and default recording device), and in the [Windows sound control panel] I have the recording device defaulted to stereo mix with [listen] checked and the Denon device selected. Windows/YT/etc sounds play fine through the Denon, but no audio at all when viewing the cable box in the [capture] mode with this capture card.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks,

I'm looking at 10" tablets and am looking for opinions.

I'm particularly looking for anyone who's switched between ipads / MS surfaces / android tablets and have tried everything. My eco system is Windows PCs and android phones.

It'll be mainly a portable media player, so media compatibility is important. It won't be used for streaming. It's mostly for downloaded file playback. Being able to simply copy/paste files over instead of using propitiatory apps/import functions is a plus.

A Surface Pro is a respectable PC, so it will play anything. But they're a bit pricey. Even a regular Surface 3 is a Windows 10 computer. Network the device and copy-paste over sharing. You wouldn't even have to plug it in to transfer files.

Aussie price gouging is a factor for you, but otherwise I don't know why you'd consider an alternative if you're after multimedia compatibility and Surfaces are one of your options.

I had luck with Archos tablets back in the day if you're dead-set on android (their proprietary media apps played anything), but their overall quality is terrible these days. Kindles can't play mkvs with out conversions before uploading, and other android tablets are hit or miss based on their hardware's ability to keep up with something like VLC for Android.

Teclast X98 air with dual boot win10/droid is one of the best "budget" choices I have seen. Chuwii vi 10 with win10 could be an even cheaper (not HD) choice and still offer good performance for your $. Wouldnt recomend spending more than 250$ on anything. The further you go into those prices the performance per $ decreases exponentially.

So I`m going on a 7ish days road trip across the U.S.A, I`m looking for suggestions on what kind of food to pack, it would have to be something I can just open from a bag, things that won`t spoil due to a lack of fridge and require minimum setting (microwaving at most). So far I`m thinking a pack of water bottles, cup ramen soup, one of those cereal bags, snacks (pringles?)

Jerky, especially bacon jerky, because bacon. Grab the mango habanero beef types if you are okay with spice.
Nuts of your preference. I love smoked almonds or just plain macadamias. Chili lime peanuts are okay if you're going cheap.
Candy to replenish energy. Chocolates are okay if you have enough water to alleviate the coming thirst and if they won't melt.
Chips of your preference. I like Calbee seaweed potato chips and mixed root chips because of texture.

If you're not averse to canned food, that gives you loads of variety. You don't even have to eat them cold since you have a microwave. Pastas, beans, soups (yes you can eat condensed [or not condensed] soups cold, tastes fine), whatever. I keep stuff like that for emergency breakfasts.

You'll just need to buy cans with self-openers and bring cutlery (disposable or not).

Uh ew? The only canned instant thing worth eating is canned chili. Soups only if you have the milk or stock to extend them properly.

Is the green card still processing, and the other visa, whatever you were using, is already expired? I think this is still okay. The green card will still push through because you are still married.
