Who knows if Kimi will ever fight Sasuke, but it looks like this fight is up next.
IMO, Kimi is excellent against physical fighters like Lee, but how is he going to fight sand? One desert coffin and he's finished. Unless, of course, Lee interferes...

I don't know if Lee would interfere or not..... I mean, there's the whole "It's my fight" thing that Lee would prolly do, sense of honor and everything.
As far as Gaara vs. Kimi, it depends- if Kimi goes all out, he could possibly pierce through the sand (it's happened before), and if he does that spinny thing, the sand won't be able to get on him well enough to squish him.

From Gaara's comments (or probably comment, since he didn't say that much this episode), I don't think that Gaara believes Lee is capable of fighting Kimi in his current state.
Spinny thing doesn't matter against the sand, it's too fluctuant. His spinning can't catch a big lump of sand and deflect that. What I do believe is that a bone armor will protect him against desert coffin, then Gaara has to be inventive [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] He has probably had some training while he was back in his village, since he's friendly now and all. Not just Deset coffin, desert coffin, desert coffin, desert coffin. Plus, now he knows his sand is penetrateable, and probably knows alot more about using the sand. I can't see Gaara losing this fight, I know it won't just finish like the other fights. But, there's something about Gaara now. His confidence looks like it has changed.
Edit: Almost forgot, put a pair of glasses on him and it's Tommy Pickles again!
Another way Kimi could escape desert coffin would be to release his seals and fight with speed. But Tohan is right I don't see Gara losing this one. Even if Kimi somehow defeats Gara, theres still Lee to fight not to mention the 2 other sand ninjas.
An epic fight, eh? Probably the 3 sand vs Kimi, haha. If Kimi can fight evenly against those 3, that would be just awesome.
I just hope they make the fight into more than just 1 episode.
And if the Chidori can go through Gaara's sand, then Kimimaro's bones should be able to as well.

well gaara does stand a chance against kimi.. but sasuke? definitely not.. especially with the state he is in now...!!
and with chidori... it's so easy to avoid...
i think chidori should be able to pierce kimi's bones.. but it also might depend on how much bones (layers ... or concentration of calcuim) kimi uses..since his is supposd to be harder than steel

As for Gaara, my contention is with the fact that he doesn't have much of an edge, if any, vs. high-speed opponents- sure, the sand will block a punch/kick/kunai, but the speed of the sand is only so much- he wouldn't be able to Desert Coffin a hi-speed target. Heck, he couldn't do much to lee when he was moving around at high speeds- only when Lee stopped moving was when Gaara was able to beat him. Kimi, being smarter, we assume, would stay at a constant high-speed, aided by his seal, negating Gaara's ability to do dmg, since he'll be on the defensive.

i'm pretty sure garra will win and make lee shut up. Was lee planning on using reverse renge against kimi? he kept saying he would use his suicide technique... and since all the other sand-nins got new techniques i'm pretty sure garra has something else besides desert coffin.

Chidori able to pierce Kimimaro's bones...... well, from what I have seen so far, it's like a 50-50 split for the moment. We've already seen Sasuke pierce the water tank easily with lots of damage, but then again, the metal wasn't meant to withstand that kind of attack. If it had layers and layers of metal, then the Chidori might (and note that MIGHT) still pierce it. As Kimimaro mentioned, his bones can become harder than metal. From this, I can't really decide, but maybe someone else can speculate as well.
im not sure based on the evidence so far that kimmi is faster than rock, although its clear he wasnt even slightley bothered. for all we know the bones coming out of his body to stop contact could be an involuntary act like gaaras sand. if not it only shows his reactions to be faster so far, not his actuall movement. on the other hand i think if kimmi IS faster than rock, then gaara doesnt stand a chance unless hes got some new uber technique. if he can bypass the shield then gaara is toast, sand armour is all well and good vs physical attacks with blunt weapons, but if you pierce it with somthing in a stabbing movement, its still a pierceing. it will still kill hurt or mame him.
anyone know if they are implying that rock has his weights off by default now?
I think he stil has them on... since when he took them of flast you could hardly track him. Also, I don't think he will take them off since that is only allowed to hapen if he is protecting someone special or some other crap like that... when he did it against Gaara he had direct permission from Gai to do so.
