Ichago = Buffy -
Inoue = Willow -
Chad = Angel -
Ishida = Xander - These 4 make up the core of the scooby gang
Sandal-Hat = Giles
Tatsuki = Tara (not so much power, possibly a lesbian)
the Cat = Wesley
Kun = spike (harmless but would like to believe he's not)
Rukia = Faith (the other slayer/shingami)
That about covers it... any other similarites you all can think of?

We got the primary Badass --Ichago
we got the scooby gang, each with their unique abilities or contribution to the group ishida, inoue, chad
We got the teacher/mentor/sparring partner Sandal-hat
we've got the secondary badass w/ the same powers as the primary, Rukia
we got the secondary teacher/mentor - the cat
you have the character that wants to be a badass but is harmless- Kun
and Tatsuki's in there cuz she and Inuoe are real real close

Ichigo vs buffy
buffy= once in a lifetime chosen to battle evil , tries to have a normal life, tries to also have a romantic life. deals with situation which might end the world. is female.
Ichigo = not once in a lifetime chosen, he already had the power. There are more like him . He's just insanely strong. doesnt try to live a normal life instead accepts being shinigami and kicks major arse. doesnt seem to care for the opposite sex in a romantic/sexual sense. is male.
Inoue vs Willow
Willow = shy , has alot of power through her abilities as a witch, lesbian , reluctant to use her powers, cuase she might go into frenzy.
Inoue = not shy. Tries to master her power to protect others. breasts which will distract any enemy. also not lesbian.
Chad vs Angel
Angel = dead , has a soul when he shouldnt. vampire ( IE: type of demon, drinks blood etc etc ) , has live for almost 3 centuries. is cursed. runs a private investion agency
Chad = Silent type of guy. unless he can protect someone... he's a pacifist. wears hawaiian clothes. is 15 .
Ishida vs Xander
Xander = moron , no powers , smart ass , emotional support for buffy team.
Ishida = smart , powerful , last one of a race , likes solitude. Has grugde against Shinigami.
Kisuke (sandel hat ) vs Giles
Giles = part of a voyeur err watcher society...which all happen to "watch" underage girls , librarian. British , aside from knowledge nothing special
Kisuke = awesome , ex-Shinigami , Outcast, A tradesman
Tatsuki vs Tara
Tara = dead , witch , lesbian ,shy
Tatsuki = badass , alive , not lesbian , practices martial arts.
Wesley vs Yoruichi
Wesley = ex-watcher , part of a investigation company , british , linguist and studies books

William = He's a poet. , he's dead, has a soul ( last seasons), vampire , had a chip in his head. is a cool kind of british.
Kon = is comic relief , is a spirit , can be used to take over bodies, athlete / martial artist. lives inside a pill , can be use to force a shinigami out of their body.
Rukia vs Faith
Faith = badly mannered , slayer , renegade
Rukia = Noble Shinigami , Cares about others , is on deathrow.
