    Problem with Bittorrent

    Hello!

I suppose this question is a bit stupid, but I'll ask all the same.

I downloaded part of a Naruto archive (1-25) and with the archive
come two files with a txt extension, Naruto.txt and CRC GOOD.txt
I suppose those two files should be text, and readable? Because all I get
    is binary garbage :-(

It would go a long way of explaining why Windows Media Player can't open
    the movies...

And of course, if somebody has an idea of why I should receive
binary garbage from bittorrent, I would LOVE an explanation.
I precise that I am a beginner in bittorrent, and those are the first files
I actually try to download. I installed bittorrent-3.4.2-1.1 on Fedora...

    Thanks

    Problem with Bittorrent

Are you both letting your BitTorrent complete the entire torrent? I'm talking about the whole torrent, not when you look at the status and see that one of your episodes is 100% while the others are like 50% or 60%. Let the torrent finish completely, then try.

EDIT: Sorry but I forgot to ask about your binary garbage. What files are coming in when you download? You need to be specific. My guess is that it could be your BT client. You may want to change it if thats the case. You can get BitTornado from here: BitTornado link
This fantastic Sousuke sig was made by the one and only Lucifus! Thanks man!

    RE: Problem with Bittorrent

Okay, got it. Since it was the first time I was using BT, I hadn't quite unserstood that bits of files are downloaded randomly.

So I thought, gee, this text file is a few bytes large, it's been downloaded already, so I should be able to read it...
Well, no, of course. It was just random garbage on my hard disk waiting to get filled by bittorrent.

Everything working now, and thank you for helping me understand :-)
