In no particular order, based off the similar styles of music: Silverstein, Chiodos, Black Veil Brides, From First to Last, Saosin, blessthefall, A Day to Remember, We Came as Romans, Eyes Set to Kill, Hopesfall, Bullet for My Valentine... I could probably name a few more later on if these aren't enough. Some are a bit heavier than others, but you should give them all a shot.

Take it to the light, it's dark in the back
You started moving you put an arch in your back
Closer to me, closer to me
Sippin' your drink and you're getting closer to me
Dance in the light, starting to see
You started moving and getting closer to me
And now you won't even let me go
So baby hold up

How come this year has so many great news and so much good stuff is happening
I'm so happy right now, I hope the album has a few more funky elements like this one, just like the old ones

+1, this is sooo awesome! Heard it yesterday and this sounds so much better then that stupid Kanye collabo.
Tron was a bit of a letdown, prolly due to the fact it was a soundtrack but still. My expectations were a bit high I think.
I hope it's going to sound alot like Discovery. OMG can't wait!
Edit:
Meanwhile I've been listening too Substantial's 2012 album Home Is Where The Art Is. If anyone can help me figuring out the sample used in this track (it sounds so familiar!):

The new Bring Me the Horizon album came out at the beginning of this month, and I've been listening to a few select tracks from it pretty regularly. As a band, I feel they've actually devolved from their roots; Count Your Blessings was such a brutal album compared to anything they release now. But even with their changes, they manage to release a few good songs. This song is one of them:
Pay no attention to the video work. I have no idea what effect they were going for, or why they chose to do so.

I like how as you progress through this thread it's gone from people posting lyrics, to posting links, to embedding videos.
Feels almost Time Machiney.
I thought the same thing when I went through the thread a couple of weeks ago!
But damn, this thread was made in 2005. That's during the first incarnation of the forums. I'm almost positive this and the Anime Fanart thread are the oldest threads being posted in now, though anyone may feel free to correct me.
I'd also love to see a screenshot of the old forum look. It's been too long... >_>

We were discussing Queen on the previous page, so I just had to post this.
For those unaware, Puscifer is Maynard Jame's Keenan's second side project (or third "band", however you see fit to look at it) that was formed out of his personal desire to create and release music that otherwise wouldn't fit in the same genre as Tool or APC. He's released at least four albums under the name; I know there are also a couple demo/remix releases, but I don't have those. Anyone interested should definitely check them out.

Love me some melodic instrumental metal stuff :P

Most probably know this song from the Pacifico beer commercial. Not surprisingly the lyrics of the song have very little to do with the message of the commercial.
“For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?”
I can't go to sleep, I can't shut my eyes
They shot the father at his mom's building seven times
They shot Malcolm in the chest, front of his little seeds
Jesse watched as they shot King on the balcony
Exported Marcus Garvey cause he tried to spark us
With the knowledge of ourselves and our forefathers
Oh Jacqueline you heard the rifle shots crackling
Her husband's head in her hands, you tried to put it back in
I'm back with some more The Unguided. This is a collaboration with Zardonic.
This does not reflect the style of music on their upcoming album; it was simply a project between friends. However, I still think it is an amazing song, and wouldn't mind having it as a bonus track.
