    Decided to rewatch this, just finished episode 7. Still so good. There's so much obvious imagery, music and themes going on that would later help make NGE the masterpiece it became.

    Ofc, we all know the tragedy of those 7-8 episodes in the final third before the actual finale that are filler-ish crap, because the studio literally ran out of money.

    Nonetheless, such a chilling adventure. Anime like this aren't made anymore, unfortunately.
