if gaara can control sand, then it should be easy to make giant arms that resemble shukaku's if he has enough sand to do so. It's entirely different than actually BECOMING shukaku

Looks like the Akatsuki guy is so screwed. But there's another akatsuki around which should save his ass. HOpe Gaara doesn't get killed. Would be a shame to see him go so fast.

I don't think the Akatsuki would want to kill Gaara. They seem to be collecting demons or something, and remember what Kisame said to Itachi when they were about to catch Naruto? Well, I don't! Not exactly, at least. But it was something like "As long as he's alive, it doesn't matter if I cut a leg or two". In other words, they seem to need the demon's "vessels" (i.e. Naruto, Gaara) alive for whatever they want to do to work.
BTW, am I the only one who feels that Naruto's real plot is just starting? It's as if the entire series up to now had been a set-up, a way to get to know the characters.

haha, i see what you mean, i think naruto is basically only starting, it will be a long running series for sure, as there are many points to the story they can put in.
You have the 9 members of the Akatsuki, Orochimaru, Kabuto, Sasuke, other demons, maybe 9 all up?
getting the demons, fighting with other villages, normal konoha ninja life, hokage, relationships, there is heaps to build up on.
I'm still hoping for a new ninja war...
This chapter won't compare to when Naruto and Gaara are fighting alongside kicking the shit out of Akatsuki, IMO.

Yeah. I've gotta agree with this. Some people have argued with me about Naruto being kinda dumb because all the main characters are weak, as opposed to in certain anime you come in, and the characters are already super strong. I shot the guy, but he got me to thinking. Following the series up to this point seems kind of like what some other anime might have in a prequel. So its like, you just get to see the entire story. Akatsuki fight....and i don't think that the akatsuki member is injured ...i am sure its just a replication.
hmm i have a question...did anyone translate the kanji on the Akatsuki member ring....because if you have noticed Kishimoto makes it a point to show the ring upclose.....maybe whats written on the ring could reveal the personality or the character of that person.
I woulndt mind seeing her but it isnt likely that we will see her anytime soon.
