need some help with avatars, i was offline for a fair while and when i came back i could no longer upload my avatar, anyone know any fixes or if this is a common problem?
i get some java code error when i try (using both firefox and IE)
We are waiting for the forum designers or what not to release a patch to fix our avatar issue.

seems like theres a few that joined around 2003 that dont have their avatars, at first it was just blank for me then i went to fix and had to use one of the forum defaults =\
Are you both able to go into your profiles? Thats where you can upload your avatars. If you get an error when you try to get into your profile, then you need to contact one of the admins. Only they can fix your profile so you can get back in. Try and contact Krbadass, Wilik, Ciber, or Suede. They hang around the IRC channel or you could give them a PM with your problem. Seems something has happend, i get an other message. Now i'm questioning myself : Is it fixed and it's my owen stupidity ?
As a n00b, I'm having the same problem that I can't upload a custom avatar. I can get into the profile editing section with no probs but when I try uploading a GIF or JPG image from my hard drive it won't upload onto your server although the file size and pixels are way under the maximum. I like making Kanji into my avatars. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I know, this sucks, I'm totally going to get taken for one of the new generation of noobies here with my "surgeon I think looks like a ninja" that I have now!
I know this is still a dumb question but I still have the same problem uploading my avatar.
It said i shoud upload a gif or jpeg file, which i did, but the same problem still comes up... over and over...
Is it a problem everyone has or just me? I hope someone is looking into this... because i spent all the time making one and now i cant use it.

Same problem, try to upload a gif or jpeg but get an error message that its not a gif or jpeg, but I'm positive it is.
Try looking 3-4 posts up.
Amazing how people don't seem to know how to read on forums. You would think its a pre-requisite to sign up but apparently not
God damn it people read the post I posted above. It has a quote stating that the admins/mods know of the problem and are trying there best to fix it! I also have the same problem but there is no need to keep complaining.

This isn't meant to be taken as a complaint, but is there any news on this front? I am one of the '2003' members with the avatar bug.
As you can see I'm a 2004 member and I have the bug aswell.

Your sig is too large and I'm pretty sure you do have that problem since everybody else does and you're no exception.
Haha, yea i have that same problem too. it's kinda disappointing, espically after i went through every single post i could find on the subject. i guess i'll have to wait for the problem to be resolved. i just joined anyway....
