I like it because it's happy. The light color fits. 'Sides, the old one was getting... well, old. And it was a little clumsy. Yay for the new site.
EDIT: OMG was that a Iruka/Kakashi yaoi pic on the main page?? The pictures there are making me cringe with anime geekness and people in class are looking at me funny. I hold you responsible. And one of the Orochimaru pic is way too disturbing.
Finally, as much as I like the light blue theme, I must say it's way too girlie... gotw00t needs something more solid, something that says "If you post here you may be flamed 'till you cry, it depends on how idiotic you are."
The main page looks fantastic. It's awesomely cool, and completely functional too. Hurrah!

If there is one thing that gotwoot is NOT, it is girlie (and may it NEVER become so.....or I will leave....the only time and place for girlyness in my opinion is when going to a formal or a wedding). See? Two of the four (five?) girls around here think it looks girlie, and girlie is not such a good word in our vocabulary. It involves giggling, cute animals, giggling over cute boys and having blogs with names such as azn_princess or grr_powah.

Dont really see the problem. There are a bunch of themes for you to choose from, if you dont like the evo theme just pick a different one.
Seemed a tad weird not having a color scheme that matched the main site.
As for the "girly" blue issue, there is no lure or happy attitude it simply fits the whole theme behind evolution, rebirth etc....
