Nipponsei is the best if their distro bots carry the stuff you want.

disagree. Nipponsei's quality tends not to be the greatest. losslessone is ... umm ... lossless. Nipponsei just releases a lot.

320 kbps is good enough. It's only 2-channel sound anyway.

Yeah, necro bump. Was going to start a new thread, but this one will do.

Been thinking the past few days on anime songs that have stayed with me throughout the years... and there were about 3 that always seem to be in the forefront for varying reasons. So kept thinking on songs, and the list kept growing, so just going to post a few that I think are very good anime songs. And hey, now we can post videos, so let's revive this shit.

    1. Kurau Phantom Memory - Insert Song - Lonely Freedom by Yukari Katsuki

This is by far my all-time favorite anime song. Not only is it beautiful, but it was perfect for the series. Even more so, when this song played, it played through one of the most touching scenes I've seen in anime. So the song, coupled with the scenes just made it absolutely perfect. I wish the scene was still up on YouTube, but it was taken down. So for now, just enjoy the song... it's the first one in the video. It never fails to give me goosebumps.

    2. Ergo Proxy - OP - Kiri by MONORAL

Simply put, this song REALLY put me in the mood for each episode of Ergo Proxy and I just really like it. I don't think there's much to say other than that, but that it really fit the anime and just set the tone perfectly for me. It really stayed with me, and when I try to recall Ergo Proxy the first thing that comes to mind is this song in particular.

    3. School Rumbler - ED - Onna no Ko Otoko no Ko by Yuko Ogura

In contrast to the previous 2, this one in particular was more about how fun it was to end each episode this way. It has a catchy tune, and I thought the lyrics were clever with nice rhythm.

    4. DearS - OP - Love Slave by Haruko Momoi

Honestly, I don't know why I'm listing this here, or why this song has never left me, but that's the thing... I think anime song, just about the first song that pops into my head is this one. It's nuts. I don't even think it's that good, but man has it stayed with me throughout the years.

Anyways, hope you guys share some of yours (which you probably have as it is earlier in the thread).

That's a good choice. Was probably mine for quite awhile.

I think mine is most likely:

Though it's hard to argue with You Say Run these days...

    easy :>

and I used to sing along to this, but it's in german.

The japanese themes rarely do it for me. There are some that I like, but very often it's just a small part I like very much and I endure the rest to get to that part.

I'd probably pick something from Symphogear, but I don't know how I would decide among all the great songs.
Radiant Force from the Season 3 opening scene had quite the amazing scene to go with it: https://track3.mixtape.moe/jjgwte.webm

Second Flight (Onegai Twins) - Still my absolute favorite anime song by an insane margin. Perfect tempo, with a beat that just conveys forward momentum. KOTOKO and Takase Kazuya's arrangements are always good, but the ones she performed herself? Crazy.

Groovin' Magic (Diebuster) - I love NINO's voice, and this is probably one of her most fun anime songs.

Shiki no Uta (Samurai Champloo) - Wish I could find the full version somewhere online to share it, but Champloo's jazzy ED has a great soothing feel.

Scramble (School Rumble) - Still love it. Just fun.

Utsukushi Kereba Sore de Ii (Simoun) - Wish I could find one with clearer sound, but this one is hard to track down. Can't even embed a non-cover version of the song. The anime it was on was...pretty terrible, but the song still sticks with me. The refrain conveys motion very well.

Shoujo Meiro de Tsukamaete (Strawberry Panic) - Another one where I really like the tempo of the song.

Kata Tsubasa no Tori (Umineko no Naku Koro ni) - The OP it comes from is one of the better OPs of all time from the framing, song choice, visuals, adapting and updating through the series, but the full version of the song is even better.

Taishou a (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai) - Haunting, soulful...fuck I love this song. And oh yeah, the lyrics.

I don't know, but it would be good if you could pin point to the anime series along with the song you're posting =)

Funny on the School Rumble one, I loved the OP as well... but for me it was always about the ED as I indicated on my previous post

    Here are a few more:

    1. Aldnoah Zero - ED - aLIEz by Hiroyuki Sawano

Probably my favorite song in the more recent years and made me become a big fan of Sawano. He seems to draw the ire from many people, but to me he's usually spot on with the song selections

    2. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan - OP - Theme by Saeko Chiba

Now, I find this funny... this one has stayed in my head throughout the years and I've only watched 1 episode, if that at all... but it's SO catchy. I guess I have a thing for themes like this that are custom made for the series and come off as fun jingles ~Pi piru piru pi~

    3. Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase - OP - Neko Mimi Mode by Chiwa Saito with Dimitri from Paris

In my younger years I used to listen to some Dimitri, but that aside, I don't think this needs explaining.

    Fixed, with series attached.

I have two more as well.

Makka na Chikai (Busou Renkin) - Seriously...how can you not immediately love this song?

Shirabe and Kirika Duet (Symphogear G) - There are better versions of this out there, but what sets this one apart is that it is actually two completely distinct songs (Oukyo Shulshagana and Gokuren Igalima). But when they're superimposed on top of each other, they compliment each other instead of overriding (musically and thematically), and they even have synchronized moments of harmony. It fits in perfectly with their character arc in the series. That's some seriously impressive composition and lyrics work.

You're simply reminding me of how many anime I've missed watching throughout the years.

    A few more:

    1. Rozen Maiden - Ending - Toumei Shelter by Kukui

Really don't have much to say on this, just that it had a cool catchy beat and it was always a welcomed sight after each episode ended.

    2. The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye - OP - Sajou no Yume by Yuko Sasaki

This is another song that has stuck with me throughout the years. It brings me quite a bit of angst because while it was a favorite series during the season it was airing, I can't recall if I ever finished it for some reason. I've been on the verge of re-watching at least the 2nd half.

    3. Madlax - Insert Song - Nowhere by FictionJunction Yuuka

Like them or not Bee Train series are filled with distinctive songs throughout all their series. The songs may change, but often just by hearing the style of the song you could tell it was a Bee Train series. Among them, from the ones I recall, this one in particular stood at the top.
