Great ep. Can't wait for the next one! Get out there, Mayamura!
Great ep. Can't wait for the next one! Get out there, Mayamura!
I hope he doesnt, Goro cant beat him this quickly.
Actually, if Mayamura comes out and beats Goro, I won't mind. But I just want to see what level Goro is at right now. Goro does have a breaking ball. I think he's gonna have to improve on that pitch next.
Goro weakness is he doesnt have a breaking ball like Muyamura, when did he get one? Or you only think he has?
There is no reason for Muyamura to play and crush Goro again cause he has already done that.
He showed a breaking ball in his Little League days. He hasn't used it since and it'd be nice if he included that in his repetoire again.
Do you remember when it was or if it was a fluke ?
I never got why he cant start learning a good breaking ball since he is a genius. It shoulndt be too hard considering how fast he improves.
He did it alot during the game against Yokohama Little. Around ep 21 or 22, I think. All the kids thought it was a change-up but the Yokohama coach called it a true breaking ball.
Ah remember that now.
Do you think Goro will do a breaking ball again or is he gonna with just fastball ?
For this particular game, I wouldn't mind him shutting down everyone with just his fastball.
But I'd rather he at least formally add the breaking ball to his repetoire, even if he'd use it very rarely. Given the character/story so far, his goal is to have a pitch like Gibson (all fastballs), and be a batter like his dad. Which, in baseball, is a pretty rare, if not impossible, accomplishment, right?
I only know baseball from tv,movies and anime
I would like to see him use breaking balls further down the line. Right now he dont need it since his fast ball is pretty good.
Been watching Major closely since S2 came out.. I really enjoyed it when they used the Believe Me music there.. Has any other songs/melodies from fort minor been used there? I seem to remember something, but I'm not completely sure.. What I really like about this show is when they show different styles of pitches, how to best use them, how to counter them etc, as with the "Knuckle Ball".
Woohoo! Another awesome ep ^^ So great to see a hint of another pitch Goro's got

I liked seeing that Goro is good at other parts of the sports than pitching.

Another great episode...
An awesome ep indeed How typical of the main character to unknowingly develop a monstrous pitch and have no idea what he's throwing until someone else points it out ^^ And I really appreciated Toshi's concern for Goro's shoulder. Glad there's a voice of reason to balance out Goro's impulsiveness.
Incidentally, found this link on some other forum, but I thought it might be of interest
Article on Gyroball
It's even got a link to a video of that supposed ball thrown. Plus the last line in the article caused a giggle or two
Heh so there is a chance this pitch exist if the mohawk guys isnt full of shit.
This ep was awesome, i liked Toshi's concern for Goro and how he hit Mayamura's pitch saying it isnt better than Goro's.
I wonder if the reason the manager wants him out is cause of the guy in her flashback.
Finally-- ep 49
Man, can't wait for the next ep. I see a potential break up of the toshi/goro battery. In truth, I wouldn't mind. They make good opponents as well as teammates.
I wonder does this series end after ep 52?
I was expecting Goro to longer than beating Kaido with the reserv team.
