No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you when he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. I am your enemy from now on. From now on, I am your teacher."

    RE: Transcoding

I have a similar problem. I've had a DVD burner for awhile, but I just got some software to use (Nero 6) and I want to start burning all my anime to DVDs and be able to watch them on DVD players. However, it says I can only use .ifo, .vob, or .bup. All my anime files are .avi. So, is there a way to burn them as .avi and be able to watch them on a DVD player... or do I need a program to convert the files. If the latter, what would be a good converter and which file-type would be best?

It's dangerous to go alone. Take Nep.

    RE: Transcoding

i use a program called D.I.K.O. and it does a pretty good job of converting avi. that are xvid or divx to dvd format. I have only used it for movies but it worked real well so i'm sure it would work well with anime that are avi
I think you can get it at www.cnet.com or at www.videohelp.com its a really easy program to use i believe that the is also a guide at www.videohelp.com as well. good luck
