You know the destiny plan doesn't make much sense if you remember that back around the beginning of SEED they mentioned they were having problems creating the next generation of coordinators. And what was the deal with those space whale things. =P
They never really did address "Evidence 01", but in the Astray Manga, one colony was retrofitted into a massive ship that was heading out to Jupiter to get away from the war.
