Speculation on my behalf, and its a given I believe for most of us that Shinn will be losing in battle sometime in the near future to either Kira or Athuran. Why?

Here's a list of reasons:

1.) He's very impulsive and acts on his emotions, creating a disoriented mindset (this can be a plus in that it helps him push himself to the limit but a negative in that he will not be making optimal decisions).

2.) He's become a bit arrogant and cocky, being overconfident is a sure way to a downfall. The more confident you are, the harder the fall in most cases.

3.) Both Kira and Athuran have a score to settle with Shinn, and both will have MS that will be on par (for the most part) with Destiny.

4.) KARMA, all those people he's killed, in my opinion cold-heartedly....there is a natural justice that takes place in this great journey we call life. He's sulking in his own misfortune without realizing the many misfortunes he's passed on to others, that includes the damage Stellar did with DESTROY. Why? Now, it was noble and kind of Shinn to return Stellar to Neo, but him trying to save one life ended up costing many people their own lives, that is why i blame Shinn.

There are more reasons, perhaps you have your own, this is just what I see.

Further, the thing with Shinn is that I do not think that talking sense into him will be enough. I have this hope that he will defect and changes sides, joining forces with SF and IJ. Ideally, I see Athuran TALKING sense into him and Kira BEATING some sense into him. lol. Shinn still has much more development to go through as an adult. He is confused and living on ideals fueled by the Chairman. If any of you are his age, or were, it is easy to put yourself in his shoes. I'm sure at around 16 or so one is very confused about many things, and might question many beliefs and people. I know I did, maybe I was just an oddball [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img].

On another note, the fights Shinn had with Kira and Athuran were in Shinn's favor. During the battle with Kira, he was not focusing on the fight (his focus was on AA), he was not trying to kill Shinn (many have said this and it is true, if you watch that respective episode again and look at where Impulse struck and Freedom struck, you will see that Shinn was in fact trying to deal a lethal and mortal blow to Kira, Kira on the other hand could have done the same but rather aimed higher at the head of impulse. If Kira would have done what Shinn did (which he could have): best case scenario is that it would end with both suits being destroyed and a stalemate and worst case scenario would be that Kira would have most definitely killed Shinn or left him severly injured). Now, with Athuran, Athuran had a grunt suit, thus a definite underdog. Further, Athuran was not trying to fight Shinn, rather talk some sense into him. So, I rest my case on this, I had to give my input on this though.

As for whether Shinn will lose in any battles in the near future is still uncertain...maybe he will lose in the upcoming battle with S.F and I.J when it tries to attack Orb...but 2 against one?
Maybe they will be on par...but the battle will end not because of the fall of Destiny, but the rest of the zaft force has fallen. There is a slight chance that Shinn will change sides, he is not really PRO-Zaft as Rey but all in his mind is to end this battle 'NO MATTER WHO THE ENEMY WILL BE'. We can see that captain of minerva has started to show signs of discontent and disagreement with chairman Dullandial, so there is a possibility that she will change side after realising the truth of Dullindal's plan and hence Minerva will change side ---> the Archangel in GSD. The end of the 4th opening shows Shinn placed together with S.F(Kira) and I.J(athrun)---->means they will join forces? (just the ending of the 4th opening in GS where Athrun and Kira is placed together with Lacus and Cagalli. Also in the 4th opening, there is a scene where Shinn faces Rey (in front of Destroy) which is similar to the 3rd opening where Shinn faces Stellar --> and they did fight against each other..so can we guess there is an upcoming battle between Rey and Shinn ---> After Shinn changes side?

Ok, I never said both SF and IJ would face Destiny, that would be overkill. I said one of them would. It would not be 2 vs 1 either, there is Rey with Legend, so it would be 2 vs 2. And I agree, just because Destiny falls does not mean that the rest of the zaft forces have fallen (but I never said anything of the nature so if this is on a different side note then yes, i agree with u 100%) True, the captain of the minerva looks like she is "uncomfortable" but I think the chairman might be keeping an eye on her since he's most likely made that observation. And with the potential of Shinn vs Rey, I really like that possibility....

If Shinn joins Asuran and Kira then they better get about 5000 Destroys because they might even give him his own Meteor. If Shinn goes then I'd expect talia to take the Minerva to the other side also.

If Shinn joins Athrun and Kira, then im going to hate this show forever. Having three 'Goldy' pilots on one side of the battle is way too powerful, which will result in a bad ending, and cheap fights. Hopefully they wont join up. Also i dont like Shinn, which may count as another reason as to why he shouldnt join with Kira and Athrun.

The Meteors are back after all. Saw it in Ep 39 when it was firing (while being attached to the Eternal). I wonder how the Dragoon sys on SF will be employed if the SF is clamped to the meteor.

When ur riding METEOR, u don't need the DRAGOON. METEOR is as powerful as it can get with a zillion missile launchers, lasers and 2 big ass beam sabers/laser turret. Fuck they'll just reuse the scene from GS and there u go [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

well i don't know about the minerva joining the arch angel and eternal... i mean it took the ea sacrificing the arch angel and a whole fleet before the AA left ea. the chairman would have to do something pretty obvious and blatant before that would happen. and even then her crew mates would have to whole heartedly agree with her.... i mean besides almost being killed by your country or whatever zaft it.... i just don't see any other way to get the whole hearted support of her ship. but maybe somehow they'll turn on the chairman.... or at least part of the crew defects.
