I'd be interested to see one of those charts rating each character's skills as of when the series cut off for the Gaiden. One would think that Naruto's ninjutsu skill would have increased some (rasengan, water walking, kuchiyose) or chakra molding or whatever the catagory was....

edit: Naruto's fighting style will need to evolve. Chances are Kagebunshin aren't going to impress anyone anymore. Not to mention the fact that if he uses it so much as once against Sasuke he'll be fighting an Uchiha army.

RE: Chouji Alive

Ar, as long as we don't start the "Can Kage-bunshin be copied with the sharingan?" discussion again...

But yes. The Kage Bunshin were alright when he was a genin - everyone was like OMGWTF a genin can do that?? TehsuXX0r!!!!1111 and like that. Now, now that he's fiftneen, the Kage Bunshin will probably have been learned by at least one or two of the other genins... not to say about Sasuke and Sakura, who'll prolly be taught the technique by Orochimaru and Tsunade (it's be too stupid if they didn't).

So yeah, Naruto's style will probably get better... I have the feeling though that when the second part kicks off Naruto will seem to be the same moron he was, fighting stupidly and the like. And then, without beig dark or anything, he'll be all like "Well, let's stop playing" and kick some ass... not as much as others would, but still some kickage.

And of course he'll be a pervert. I can't believe there are people who doubt that.

i cant imagine naruto without him being the idiot that rushes in. even after the time jump i can still see that. the intelligence edge that naruto will have on his opponents is that hes a natural prankster, but this time way more powerful. although i do expect him to think more often, and keep his cool a little better, he just wouldnt be naruto if he didnt mess up every now and again

he'll act like jiraiya.
play around and joke when not in serious trouble.
straight to the point when things heat up and need it.

oh i nearly forgot, and be a pervert.

well if he ends up too much like jiraiya he'll end up hengeing a kagebunshin and make it a sexy no jutsu so he can perv on it, i reakon jiraiya would do that if he was left alone for a little while

if naruto learnt to control the rasengan properly then yes he could have one in each hand and learn to fight in an open fist style like the hyuugas and also he wouldnt really need to go for critical hits cos itd be like fighting with a saw in each hand. id like to see him fight like this after the jump, i doubt itd happen though

also i was wondering if someone could tell me whos technique the rasengan is, did jiraiya invent it or the 4th. or is it an old technique passed down through the generations. sorry i forgot.

AFAIR, IIRC, the 4th invented it and then Jiraiya learned it as well (could be wrong, though).

hmm, such a discussion existed??

personally, I was dissappointed that sasuke DIDNT copy the kage bunshin yet.....
wtf is the point of being able to copy jutsus if you never copy jutsus!

does that mean sasuke can also copy the rasengan?? or is that not really a jutsu and is just like some kinda chakra controlly thingy.

It's chakra control, not a jutsu (no hand seals are involved, and neither is taijutsu). While Sasuke might be able to see how it's done (and learn the theory behind it), he may not be able to actually use it; chances are that Kakashi may have seen the 4th use the rasengan (he seemed to recognise it straight away when Naruto used it at the hospital), but we've seen no indication of Kakashi being able to actually use it...

Besides, Sasuke's pride might prevent him from "recognising" the rasengan as equivalent/superior to the chidori (which would be suggested by using it), because of his rivalry with Naruto...

Actually I'm pretty sure there are hand seals involved with the Rasengan, only Jiraiya thought they'd be too complicated for Naruto to comprehend.

I don't think Kakashi would ever use it, it's not really his style. Too big and bulky.

i agree, can you imagine kakashi running at like 10000 miles an hour with a rasengan instead of a chidori? just doesn't look right.

and don't bother disagreeing. you'll be wrong.

It would really cool if he used rasengan like that then he would be dangerous close range, i really hope he will do that sometime soon after the jump.

RE: Chouji Alive

there are seals to the rasengan, its just that naruto doesnt use them and the sharingan cant copy it just by using it. as we saw, the sharingan predicts movements, its not some sort of majic eye that can breakdown down and interpret a jutsu immediately. the reason why the shraingan "copies" jutsus is because the user copies the seals required. there are also multiple seals to the kage bunshin as we saw in the haku vs. naruto/sasuke fight, but naruto usally only uses the last seal (which is not one of the standard seals learned its probally a secret one like that strange finger twisting seal haku used for the ice mirrors) since sasukes never seen the full kage bunshin seal with the sharingan hes been unable to copy it. my guess is that seals heal with molding a correct amount of chakra and help it mold in a certain way to perform a jutsu. since the sharingan cant see the amount chakra needed, or how to mold it when full casting seals are used, it is impossible to copy a narutos moves when he doesnt use seals.

is that a challenge? I'm feeling pretty inscure right now so i can't let that go unanswered...

Wasn't Kakashi's Chidori created in order to imitate the Rasengan? the rasengan is lacking both in terms of usuability and in power, it's so flawed that it actually requires to steal an eyeball in order to be used properly...

the fact that the rasengan so far looks compeltly idiotic is becuase Naruto's the one doing it, and everything Naruto does looks stupid, even when it's cool. If Kakashi had the rasengan,he wouldn't need to run at his enemies, he'd be able to just blast them apart when they get close to him...

RE: Chouji Alive

he said that there is no need for Naruto to remember such complex seals...
hand seals are for modyfing chackra, both the quantity and the type, the rasengan doesn't base itself on chackra types or insanly huge amounts of chackra, it's all about the spinning motion...
so, like most other jutsus, it's possible to be done without using handseals, it's just harder...
and as for why Jiraya had him learn it without the seals... it was probably so that Itachi won't be able to copy it....
