I agree. Although I do believe Haku had much more potential then Zabuza because of his blood line and the fact that he sorta directed Zabuza to victory in his battles I think Zabuza is more skilled in ninjutsu. Infact I think many jounin and genin are taken forgranted because of the few who have certain outbursts. In other words even though Naruto has the kyuubi I still think Itachi or Orochimaru could take him out, possibly even Kakashi. Although the few have great power they tend not to use it in combonation with ninjutsu often.
I hope you realize all the people you just listed can EASILY take down kyubi naruto.Originally posted by: kinD4rkness

I think Haku was average as far as abilities went, he was a good at coming up with strategies much like a very popular leaf ninja. Comparing him to any of the Genins who went on the mission from the recent arc and he's very weak, hell even Chouji would win fairly easily.
Also I don't see Haku as ever being equal to or surpassing Zabuza, who was a legendary ninja as both a child and an adult.
Zabuza stated that Haku was better than him.
With all factors considered he was deffintly stronger than Zabuza and just in general was incredibly strong. Not so much that he could take a jounin on at his current level but because he was so young when he was at that level shows he had potential to become much greater at an older age.
there is actually a huge 'x is stronger than y' inconsistancy in the water country arc. haku's trump card was his ice mirrors, more specifically his incredible speed with the help from the jutsu. however, if sasuke's underdeveloped sharingan could see haku's movements, how easily could kakshi see haku moving around?
then, i guess it was stated that haku was stronger than zabuza. like wtf? would that mean kakashi would've had a harder time beating haku if they were to fight? personally, i doubt it. i think kakashi would've had a much easier time fighting haku than zabuza mainly because haku is mainly a ninjutsu user while zabuza relied on more taijutsu techniques to attack kakashi (of course with some help from clones and mist). i think like this because i think kakashi is mainly a ninjutsu user too. and i'm 100% positive that kakashi is better than haku in terms of fighting skills and ninjutsu just based on kakashi's reputation.
maybe zabuza was overestimating haku or underestimating himself. but i'm pretty confident in saying that haku could've been beaten by rock lee or neji.
I agree Haku could b beaten by Lee or Neji but both of them are just as extrodinary as Haku. However against a non-genius (counting Lee as genius because of the 8-gate technique) I think haku would win by a landslide.
Then again he was in ANBU so mayb he was more skillful then Lee or Neji.
Please don't quote what Zabuza said. It was obvious he was boasting faslehoods, Haku was moreso a useful zealot to watch his back. and I agree with Mut@t@ in that if it was rock lee or neji during the bridge battle Haku would never have even got to his ice mirrors.
Remember also that Haku was trying desperately to stall so as to avoid killing Sasuke and Naruto. If Haku had wanted to murder Sasuke he could have instantly killed him with a needle to the neck before he could react, at any time, even when he had the Sharingan on. Haku was also so skilled that he used one handed seals - something that even Kakashi hadn't seen, and something no one since has replicated (except Itachi).Originally posted by: Mut@t@

And, of course, I have absolutely no problem with saying that Rock Lee or Neji could defeat a Jounin.
i dont know why you guys say that zabuza was overestimating haku.....
after he made the statement about haku being stronger than himself, he elaborated more about how he taught haku everything he knew, while haku simultaneously strengthened his own bloodline skills.
Therefore you could say that zabuza + bloodline = haku

Oh, and as a minor sidenote - Haku's Kekkei Genkai is his ability to use the Ice Mirror Jutsu, not his ability to do one-handed seals. That ability is never implied or stated to have anything to do with Haku's Kekkei Genkai and anyone saying that they are interrelated is talking out of his or her ass.

saying haku's bloodline and one handed seals not interrelated is same as saying neji's bloodline and his gentle fist is not interrelated.
haku can do one handed seals cuz of his bloodline just like how neji can do gentle fist cuz of his bloodline.

last time i checked, byakugan = bloodline.Originally posted by: Y The Alien
Neji can perform Jyuuken thanks to the Byakugan.

There is never a link made between the one-handed seals and the ice jutsu (or ice jutsus). Haku had the ability to perform one-handed seals - AND to manipulate ice. Two seperate and distinct abilities.
Maybe Zabuza said Haku was stronger because of his ice mirrors and the fact that nobody has ever escaped them, not because he's a better overall ninja. I agree, if it were Kakashi and Haku fighting instead, it would have been no contest, because I believe Kakashi is a much better overall ninja.
I think Zabuza was just referring to Haku's potential and his great ability for solo learning.
