i thought the chapter was amazing. im so very very glad that it didnt end up in a tie like the last chidori vs rasengan moves. At least one of them is KOed (even though it was unexpected for me it being naruto). It does seem like both of them held back, unless their chakra was so amazing that it was able to withstand any visible wounds on either. The only scratch either of them recieved was sasuke's forehead protector. I am now just waiting for the next Manga episode. INANE chapter is out and you can get it at narutofan.com if no one mentioned it. well, at the end it says there is a "Shock announement" and im wondering what it could be. the end? hehe
wow the extras in the inane chapter were excellent.
is it just me or that inane's quality this time was lower than usually? espically with the big ball of chackra,,, the colors were so dull, don't ya think?

I had begun to get this gut feeling ever since Kishimoto took that first week off to "Gather Data". It made me wonder if Kishi was getting bored or tired of doing this. After that I started to pay closer attention to the details and the direction that the story was going. It was also around that time that people started to complain about certain things such as lack of story progression, fights drawn out, accusations that Kishi is running out of ideas, and a fierce increase in the arguments about the "DBZishness".
With each chapter since his first data gathering break, I began to wonder more and more how much longer Kishimoto would continue with the manga. And now, with Naruto lying on the ground and a shocking announcement to boot... It's not hard to wonder if Naruto really is dead and this is the end of the series.
Now, I HIGHLY doubt that Naruto is dead or that this is the end of the series. But, it is very easy to think that and I know its the first thing that crossed many people's minds when they read that.
IF this is the end of the series, "Naruto" would have gone from potentially one of the greatest manga/animes ever, to one of the biggest busts ever.
What could this shocking announcement be? I guess Kishi just likes to keep us in suspense. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and itching for 234.
maybe the shocking annoucemnt is the... time jump ??? (2 or 3 years)
however, i think (even if we see it in the form of flashback) naruto will be in a bad mood for a while, but in a very angry way, training like lee every day until he collapses, because the next time he will meet sasuke, i won't failed.

oh plus im not totally convinced the chidori and rasengan connected at all it looked like when they connected they kinda canceled each other out causing that bigass explosion and in turn they just hit each other with lotsa chakra, on the connection shots you see no spinning ball of chakra or black lighting just chakra covered hands.

Personally, what I would like were if due to Naruto's loss kyuubi refuses to give him chakra any longer. Then Naruto had to learn new jutus (not just one normal [k.bunshin] and one finisher [rasengan]), behave like a ninja and get some tactical skills. Stopping the pranks/shouts and start becoming a real ninja who takes his buisness serious. Then we would see how good he really is plus it would get interesting again. A total restart from near scratch.
Trained by Kakashi (anti chidori lessons), Jiraiya (general training) and Gai (anti sharingan). As Kakashi said, Sasuke won't gain anything from the curse seal and around ep 330 they will meet again. After that kyuubi will acknowledge him for beating Sasuke and he will get chakra once again.
As a result we would have Naruto as, well, personally, I wanted him to be from day 1.
On the other hand, maybe he just gets some clothes that do not burn your eyes out of your skull.

Something tells me that the next time Naruto and Sasuke meet they will each be mounted a top of Gamabunta and Mando.
Also, wouldn't it be cool if Kishimoto splits the manga into two independent series with one following Sasuke and another following Naruto? No chance of it happening but it would be cool.
I doubt Kishimoto will end he sereis or do a time jump next chapter. if he does it's going to one long ass flash back to fill everything in. He might be anouncing that he will no longer be doing the sereis him self but handing it off to his assistances and taking a long over due hiadus for like a year then come back when he feels ready or they run out of story. who knows we'll find out next week.
I think what is meant by the shocking announcement is that someone will announce to the village that sasuke could not be retrieved and has gone his own way (orochimaru? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] ). So then the whole village will mark sasuke as a missing nin or something like that....i don't know about the time jump....but that would be interesting...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

Naruto is outcold. He's NOT DEAD. The series will continue on, like it did any chapter. To whatever is coming up.
yeah i was wrong about the this "this chakra...." quotes kakashi did say that not sasuke
but still naruto was standing after the blast and looking straight at sasukek and he didnt have his clothes torn where the sasuke's hand made contact
also i dont think that the chidori and resengan where still active i think that they collided and created that huge ball of energy that they are in the middle of and then they where just atacked with normal attacks in the close up scenes
Well, I think its obvious that Sasuke is not coming back to the village anymore(the whole slash through the headband thingy). Now... will Kakashi take Sasuke and both become wandering ninjas?

I think kakashi will help Naruto by taking him back to the village and then leave to pursue Sasuke adn keep an eye on him and his movements and report back occsionaly.
