hmm...Iwonder....maybe Sasuke wants to go back to Konoha on it's own will, not yet, but soon, I think he will think about all and come to the best conclusion and come back..it seems that Sasuke has something realized.....

im thinkin tht sasukes gonna go bak to his village, and find itachi, brag about his victory and naruto will prolly have like a funeral or sotmhing for him, and then he'll wake up or somthing, or be in the hospital for a bit, hes not dead, when he dies, the series dies
Well, i honestly think that Naruto is lying unconsious on the floor because the Kyuubi's chakra burnt him out. In the previous manga, you saw his left hand burnt to the point where he couldnt feel or use it. I just think he used way, way too much chakra and ended up frying his own nerves. I do see a change in Sasuke's thinking though, and I see that he's conflicted with the path that Itachi/Orochimaru has set forth and a return to the light. However, i see him training under Orochimaru, as well as more on the history of the Uchiha clan, (What is the perpose of the Clan?) as well as Kabuto reminicing. On the Konoha side, I can see Tsunade taking either Sakura or Hinata under her wing. (Hyuuga's would make the best medics with their first class chakra control.)
I cant see a huge time jump. I doubt The Akatsuki Organization would just stop looking for Naruto, especially with him in his current condition. (Comatose)
Mut@t@,
Winning isnt just as simplistic of a matter as seeing who is standing at the end. Whoever wins in a certain conflict is the person that accomplishes the goal that they set out to achieve. In the Gaara, fight Naruto won because he wanted to stop Gaara and protect Sasuke and Sakura. Gaara, contrarily, lost because his goal was to kill everyone and he obviously failed at that task.
Now, in the fight that just occured, Sasuke's goal was to kill Naruto so that he could obtain the Menge-Sharingan. Naruto is obviously still alive seeing as the series is named after him so Sasuke consequently lost. Naruto in this fight wanted to Sasuke to return to the village. Eventhough Naruto claimed that he would beat Sasuke into submission and drag him back to the village, i think that at some point Naruto realized that it would be useless to bring Sasuke back to the village unless he came on his own accord. So it would be more accurate to say that Naruto was fighting to convince Sasuke that he should come back to the village because that is where he belongs. Now, I think we all agree that Sasuke didnt leave this fight to go back to Konoha, but we could also say that Sasuke had some sort of epiphony or revelation at the end of this chapter regarding his relationship with Naruto. And I believe this realization will have the long term effect of accomplishing Naruto's goal of bringing Sasuke back to the village. So perhaps Naruto won this fight.
If you can't see that Naruto won this fight it should at least be obvious that Sasuke lost because he failed to accomplish his goal.
p.s. I don't see why it is necessary to use proper punctuation, as long as the I am conceptually expressing myself addequately. If you however, want to play the role of a 7th grade grammar teacher then feel free to continue to critique my lack of mechanics. Maybe this post will satisfy your grammatical analism.
Well Naruto might be announced as dead but is really alive and he has to leave everything he knows behind. At this point he leaves with Jiraya to track down Sauske and Orochimaru ad nthen a time jump can happen about two years would be good. We find them being persude by Akatsuki, or someone who wants them dead or on a mission of somesort. This would be the best course of action cuz it allows Naruto to become his own ninja away from the eye's of his freinds so he dosn't lose track of his true goal of brining Sauske back home.
I'm thinkin mabey naruto new that dragging him back would do nothing or he new he couldn't bring himself to kill sasuke(or take the chance). So instead he targeted his forehead protect to cross it out. Not saying naruto is some super unbeatable force but i can't see naruto missing sasukes whole body and hitting him in the forehead protector convienintly crossing out the hidden leaf symbol. If you look at the manga it doesn't seem like he was even aiming anywhere but the forehead protector and when he hit it it didn't seem to shock naruto at all like that is what he had planned on. I guess we will find out in a few episode wether or not it was planned or not.
i couldnt set here and read all of this. any ways, i dont know if this is old news or not, but guys, i dont think naruto or sasuke pulled their punches in that last hit. look at the last page of 232, they clash. and in the first panel of 233 you see this large chakra output circling them. its rather obvious the attacks lost a great deal of chakra. hell the proof is right their in the second panel were there is a lack of both a chidori or rasengan. (and no, that thing around sasukes hand is not the chidori, it should be black, or at least electric looking) the attacks were reduced to the simple chakra based punches you see there. i assume narutos attack doesnt do much to sasuke because it hit and armored area, hell, thats what the forehead protector is there for in the first plade.

Why?
Because what he did was a tratiorous act. No reason to go easy on him just because he is 13... he knew what he was doing.
Or maybe I'm just being too dramatic...
ok lol hey onlyelliot how are you so sure that it was kyubi chakra? it could of been the resengan. Also Naruto aim his resengan to cross the forehead protector. Because he isnt that stupid to miss sasukes body head on. Also sasuke saying naruto I lost would fit because they made a bet that naruto couldnt hurt sasukes forehead but naruto did. Also the reason he didnt say the rest is because he puked. Also sasuke won't go to oro he will prob train by himself or maybe find a sensei maybe the other uchia clan member the last one. Can't wait for next weeks chapter. Also he didnt do anything traitors well the people dont know sakura just said he got captured by the 4 sound guys. She didn't say he went to oro or was planning to betray konoha.
I don't think that they would go bad on Sasuke, if he comes, back, maybe they observe him a little to see if he really come back to live in Konoha and doesn't do bd things and Kakashi would check that surely out^^, but not execute *lol* I think all will turn out good, but thats a long way to go *lol*^^ I cant't wait to know what will happen...>.<
I was just speculating about it being the kyuubi chakra that scratched the forehead protector, but it seems like the only reasonable explanation because there was no resengan in his hand and even if there was the resengan doesnt slash it tears. And as far as the explanation that it was the result of naruto losing control of the resengan i dont think that is likely because the scratch was obviously depicted as a result of naruto's attack on p.2 .
Huge edit
Ok first of all rasengan cant go through everything. Second of all naruto prob made it so it barely touched the protector. I never said he lost control I said he hit his protector on purpose
edit: if u also notice sasuke say naruto I, After his protector falls off. So probably he was going to say naruto i lost.
That comment about him losing control wasnt in reply to your comment kyubisrage but to some other comments that have been made. I also agree that he hit the forehead protector but I just dont think it was from resengan as there was no visible resengan in Naruto's hand. Lastly i dont think that it is important to speculate the specifics of what Sasuke was going to say. The fact that he said, "Naruto, I..." tells us enough because it lets us know that Sasuke realized something about himself because fo Naruto. But yeah i think " I am sorry" would have been fitting or "I was wrong".
Sasuke won the fight, as far as strength was concerned. Yes, you heard me right. Lvl 2 Sasuke overcame Naruto on the juice (Kyuubi). No ifs, ands or buts about it. SASUKE BEAT UP NARUTO.
Now, as I've been mentioning like, the entire thread, just because Naruto lost the battle, doesn't mean he lost the war. It's pretty damn obvious that Sasuke learned what's up and will untimately go back to being a face. (aka, a good guy)
Sasuke hit him directly while Naruto missed and hit the forehead protector. That doesn't prove anything in the strength department, just skill I suppose. Now if Naruto actually made contact on Sasuke's body then it would be a different story/ending.Originally posted by: Hotsuma

hmmm dunno if this has been said before... but the hole in narutos flack jacket... isnt that from the first chidori impact... which means that only narutos rasengan scrathced sasukes head protecter in this impact?? aka sasuke dismissed his chidori the same moment he was about to hit....
makes more sence to me that way atleast

Of course he did. If Naruto had been hit with the Chidori it would have torn him in half.Originally posted by: DeadalouS
