and with your question about the rasengan i think with sasuke hitting him in the chest/stomach, it mad him retract a bit and left the scratch...
think the tree when he was training, when jiraiya did it...(slowly) it scratches at the tree first then it shoots through...i think it only just got to scratch his forehead but didnt get to shoot through from the hit in the chest/stomach..

And then

And finally, once they get to Naruto,
"...so we were late, uh..."
And those are the big conversations. As I mentioned above, Sasuke says "Naruto... I..." before barfing blood.

anyone else notice the lack of resengan in naruto's hand? it seemed that there was just energy around his whole arm
same with sasuke no chidori but it is more obvious with naruto as there is no chakra ball in the palm of his hand
i see naruto having a long recovery awaiting him from this fight both physicaly and mentaly i think that for the next several chaps everyone will be worried about naruto for a change and possibly, maybe while naruto is still unconcious and recovering in the hospital itachi and co. try to come steal him again, yet this time all of naruto's friends stand up to protect him. I think now would be a good time to show that several people finally acknowledge naruto's existance(his whole goal in life, or at least his first goal). Maybe this fact helps him get over his defeat with sasuke.

nah i dont think physically it will take naruto long...never really has.
eh sasuke won and he prolly thinks Naruto's dead when we all know form the past Naruto won't die so easily cos the kyubbi will most likely revive naruto after a short time resting. This being, Sasuke will prolly achieve the Sharingan that Itachi has now since he's beaten his "best" friend. I look forward to the translation and more so the next chapter!

however the difference between this fight and all the others is how much kyuubi power naruto used i think that should make a big difference. In every other fight naruto might pass out from using all his chakra or all the chakra kyuubi lends him but in this one he might have actually used a considerable amount of the kyuubi's chakra. I dont think he was unconcious from injury but just from using all his chakra, and maybe he alowed himself to pass out because he did what he intended to do, scratch the forehead protector in order to make his point. Yeah he always said that he would take sasuke back by force but naruto isnt stupid enough not to know that sasuke has to want come back for anything to change.

Well the translation that i saw just had Sasuke said I.. before coughing up blood.
It would be interesting if it did say "I have lost" Becuase it would fit in.
A member on another forum, brought up the point, that Naruto missed on purpose, well actually he didnt miss what he was aiming for.
Earlier Sasuke told Naruto that he wouldnt even put a scratch on his forehead....However thats exaclty what naruto did do. Naruto didnt want to kill sasuke, just make a point.

so i'm still not clear on what happened. naruto missed entirely? he nicked sasuke's forehead protector? i'm thinking the second. and if that's the case...a piece of metal stopped the rasengan? a piece of fucking metal? dont tell me it was an indirect hit. i understand that. people die because of indirect contact from bomb explosions.
i cant accept that a piece of metal gets only a scar in it from even the most minimal contact of the rasengan.
it cant be that he missed because the thought of defeat wouldnt have come across his mind at the end. ugh...this is unsettling.

However, I do agree about the "you can't touch my forehead.." tidbit. I think this will make Sasuke wake up, and realize what's up. Then, we might be able to see Lvl 2 Sasuke VS Oro.
I think we might have missed an important set of facts.
1) Rasengan is super powerful, especially Uber-Kyuubi-Naruto-Super-Saiyan-Rasengan. Anyone who disagrees is an idiot.
2) The Rasengan can bust holes into water towers and cut through trees.
3) Naruto does not want to kill Sasuke.
Here's a thought: Naruto lost on purpose. He doesn't want to kill Sasuke, and the Rasengan would certainly tear the head off Sasuke's shoulders (even IF he was lvl 2 curse seal). Naruto himself moved the Rasengan to veer off of Sasuke's head. It nicked the protector, and then Naruto released it. Even a black Chidori couldn't divert a Rasengan that much.
I agree, Naruto had no reason to tear off Sasuke's head. Nicking the forehead protector was about as far as he could go. I'm sure that a non-fatal shot to his chest wouldn't have stopped Naruto's rasengan that abruptly. Maybe upon feeling sasuke's hit he also held back as well in the same instant.
Killing Sasuke would have been a worse consequence to the promise he made to sakura. Unfortunately he still has to go back on his words... for now.
I don't like to see Naruto lose, but an earlier post was right, he had to. I think Naruto will be stronger after this encounter and wiser as well. This story arc has set into motion that naruto needs to come to a better understanding of himself before he can advance further. As far as power he's got the edge, but I think he has to realize more about the kyuubi before he can really get stronger. And I'm sure hte next story arc will cover that somewhat.
I can't wait to see what is revealed about the 4th Hokage and the Kyuubi and how it ties into Naruto. The Kyuubi said they were similar, and I wonder how.
Ya i agree naruto missed on purpose he only tried to get the forehead protector. Also I think that sasuke might not go to oro he might wander off and train by himself because he saw what happend with the curse seal and he will soon return maybe in a time jump. But in the present I think kakashi will assemble a team to find sasuke but they can't while they are looking for sasuke naruto is off training with jiraiya maybe sakura can train with tsunade wow what a worthless character. lol Neji and chouji are prob alive. I dont think neji will die because naruto said when he becomes hokage he will change the hyuga clan. But maybe neji will die and naruto will still do it for him as a farewell present. Sasuke didnt want to kill naruto either after he saw naruto knocked out.
My guess is that the gennin will all return to Konoha temporarily.
Hopefully sakura will redeem herself as a character by thanking Naruto (for once) for risking his neck for her (and her promise)

Naruto would've went after Sasuke, even if Sakura didn't ask him to.
why would naruto even use rasengan in the first place then? plus, i thought naruto was somewhat under the control of kyubi.
no naruto was in control sort of, him and kyubi were kind of melded together like they always are when he releases that much chakra, by that i mean he sort of went bezerk but it did seem he had more control than usual, apart from neji fight cos he was in total control then
