Tsunade/ Sakura (revelation?)

In episode 103 of the anime there is a *superscript* stating words to the effect of:

'Apparently, Sakura is being trained byTsunade'.

Had this been proven before, in either the manga or the anime? I know that various suggestions had been made, trying to account for Sakura's presence in the series, considering her current ineptitude.

If it is true, does anyone believe that it will bear any significance? In EP 103, Sakura almost appears to have some strength (she uproots a mast).

Nothing in the manga as far as I've read (which by the way, is all of it), but these interlude eps of the show are starting to get to me. Anime-only watchers should have to watch an arc that takes nearly a year too.

Sure, it seemed that team 7 would parallel the Sennin, after all we have seen Naruto with toads for certain, Sasuke has appeared with snakes in a few different pin-ups, and I think we have seen Sakura appear in some pin-ups with a slug.

I even think that Sakura, Hinata and Ten Ten training under Tsunade would make for a couple awesome episodes.

BUT COME ON!!! This season of filler should have been bookended with Naruto and Sakura sitting on Sasuke's bed in the hospital reminiscing about PAST adventures. They could have done a year of awesome filler stories that took place between Zabuza and the beginning of the Chunnin exam. Anything, but what is going on right now!!!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but they did mention Rasengen in an add, so I guess the current season of suk kind of ties in to the movie continuity.

AND I clearly specifically recall that Shika was the only chunnin selected. I guess that can still stand if Naruto doesn't know that he wasn't selected...but such narrative mis-steps make my head spin. I will be pissed if the "Naruto is a Chunnin" ruling stands, but I would be a fool to think that Naruto would ever go through another chunnin exam, manga or anime.

AND the absolute worst part is that the manga has been SO mind numbingly awesome for the last 6 months and is on track to be so for a while longer, the anime situation is extremely frustrating.

I have a kind of new theory of the Tsunade - Sakura relation..
since there is NO WAY that Tsunade have had time to train Sakura there has to be another explanation, like an advanced bloodline? The two of them being related by distance is possible.. what do you guys think of it?

Doesn't at least some of Tsunade's strength come from her medical ninja skills and ability to manipulate chakra? This she could actually teach to Sakura, given her inate "shan'naro" anger/strength powers.

Another point: Isn't this whole issue based off a superscript, a note or comment from the anime-heaven staff and not any actual phrase in the eps?

no matter what i just don't think i can see tsuande training sakura. nobody actually said sakura was training under tsunade. it was just AH lil note trying to be funny.

Actually I think Tsunade may train Sakura at some point, specially if Sasuke does end up with Orochimaru. Jiraiya would take Naruto again under his tutelage, and Tsunade would be all like "If you want to help Naruto/Sasuke, you can't keep at your level."

And then Tsunade would work Sakura's ass off and Sakura would be, if not great, better than she is now.

Hey, you have to admit she was downright freaky with that mast! I mean, who have we seen with that kind of strenght, Tsunade aside? Is it safe to say that since Sakura was able, Naruto and Sasuke and Ino and Hinata could do it too?

Hey, it'd be neat if she did have that kind of abilities. And I'd like to see Tsunade's training, I bet its real hard.

as much as it seems that the three kids are going to follow the sannin's footsteps, you must remember that in the end, they'll probebly be friends (and hence, not like Ji\Oro\Tsu). so, even though Naruto and Sasuke seem to go with the Jiraya-Orochimaru realtionship, there has to be foreshoadowing to hint that things aren't gonna end like with the sannin. Here Sakura comes in, she isn't gonna train with Tsunade, and her specialty isn't medical ninjutsu but genjustu....


i haven't seen 103 yet (or 102, if you're asking), so i can't comment about that part...

Why does everyone keep saying Sakura has a specialty in genjutsu? Anything genjutsu relating to Sakura has been one attack on her (Kakashi, really early in the series) and the ONE time she broke Kabuto's sleeping technique. Unless you forget, Shikamaru did it too. She only knows that one because someone taught it to her. They've said in the series that Sakura can learn anything if she is taught how to do it once, that's her extent of genius-ness.

As far as we can tell, Sakura's "specialty" is learning things if she is taught step by step how to do them.

Its really annoying to se how they level up characters from one day to other they do as they like they make sakura stronger without explanation all the gennins became stronger in 2 weeks etc i know they made it to make more storylines but its so cheap...

At the begining :
Naruto lvl 1
Sasuke lvl 2
Sakura lvl 1

8 months later:

Naturo lvl 1000
Sasuke lvl 1000
Sakura lvl 50

Tomorrow:

Naruto lvl 1M
Sasuke lvl 1M
Sakura lvl 1M ?? (she grew in 10 ten days more than all the world together in the same time, absurd. I hope not to live to see this nonsense)

It doesnt make any sense this power ups XD is like taking a BOOSTER! pill, this kind of things make an anime a crap thing as time goes by.

P.D: As far as i know Sakura's speciality is to visit wounded ppl at hospitals and buying flowers thats the hardest training ive seen on her. Not joke.

maybe it was a sarcastic joke of AH and random ppl think its real , but never wondered where it was said in the episode, to be translated from , or that it wasnt said or put in the sidelines of the screen. so there was no place for it to come from then the AH team.

Yes that line was just a side note poking fun of sakura's effort and strength. i'd be nice if someone, (anyone) could train her. but seeing as all the other gennins have improved and gotten stronger. it think we'll see how the other half is getting along. it seems that hinata is slightly more confident now. maybe ino and ten-ten will follow suit. actually we always see ten-ten and neji training together. i'm sure she'll get stronger. but if they do show it, it better not be boring.

if you look back to that chapter, you'll see that Kakashi said "it seems that i was right to teach her genjutsu during the survival test", the survival test is in episodes 4-6, and the trainning he talked about was showing her Sasuke with a shitload of shurikens in her body.
and therefore, Sakura learned the Kai thing without Kakashi.

Amazing? yes. Unbelieveable? yes. Can sakura do something cool? NO.

Whatever happens in the anime, in a filler episide, is nothing but a filler. It has no real connection to the official cannon of Naruto.

It's cool, but I really don't think it's going to stay there forever.
