My opinion on DBZ vs. Naruto?
Well, Naruto hasn't used around ten episodes in "Ten seconds for the Earth to be destroyed", nor has it had five episodes with two characters' attacks colliding and forming bigass balls of power that have to be pushed by each character while screaming as if they were having problems at the toilet.

However, the power level-up thing is very very similar, and Sasuke does act like Vegeta, and his new hair-do is the most DBZ-ish thing in Naruto so far. So yeah, they're smiliar, which might be good or bad depending on whether Kishimoto decides to destroy the Earth and/or kill Naruto and bring him back with an halo over his head.
