I liked this episode. It adds some variety to the characters, so they don't seem so one-dimensional. It's much more fun if you can't always predict what each person is going to do. The whole thing with Kakashi and the comics/movie was great.
Sure, the humor was cheesy, but the ep was definitely worth the download.
The director said Naruto would be side-tracked for a while, so this is probably the beginning of that. Hopefully it won't be a long while.

I for one am very tolerant of crappy episodes/series/fillers... but this episode i couldnt even watch 10 minutes of it... it was too lame... it broke down character profiles... It massacred Sasuske... I'm fine with fillers as long as they dont fuck up with characters personalities... and episode 101 was just a huge mistake... if they needed a filler they could have done a much better one

I'd rather see 30 episodes of Naruto and the crew making comedy faces, than waste animation on an insignificant characters who were NEVER a part of the manga. dotn get em wrong, i've told ppl to quit complaining myself a few times, but its usually works a lot better when u provide good reasons with ur arguments.
besides, this was hardly a filler. it was more of a joke (a very sad and pathetic joke). konohamaru cryign over sarutobi, or jiraya/naruto/tsunade taking a trip to a bath house, those are actuall fillers, as they differ from the manga but still follow and progress the story. This ep did nothing of the sort, and infact screwed up a few thigns, or so the manga readers tell us.

okai, unlike a lot of people moaning about how crap this episode was, i only just downloaded it coz i waited for anbu or aone to release their eps.
i thought the episode was damn hilarious! and for once it shows that sasuke really is a 13 year old.. gosh, if a real 13 year old was THAT serious wouldn't you be a little scared? unless 13 year olds in your neck of the woods all act like that.
AND i see nothing wrong with Looney Toons kinda of cliches either... slapstick is hilarious! although i must say.. i cringed when those... random 'ninjas' came up coz they were just soooooo lame! omg!! "i love you marry me!" wth? of course the girl is gonna go off with kakashi coz kakashi is like.. the whole mysterious blahblahblah guy.
neway, i enjoyed this episode quite a lot. i mean, sure there was probably no point to it and had abso-friggin-lutely nothing to do with naruto.. but i mean, it's always nice to take a break from seriousness and turn to funniness... personally i think they realised that FMA is beating them because it mixes serious with funny. and i dont think this was as bad as the stupid bathhouse episode!!
Well, I also waited for the ANBU download, and the episode was pretty freaking hilarious. Haha, best part was in the ramen house with the Punk'd stuff and the fight between the two teams.
Still, for those who think this episode was a waste of time, go ahead, express that, but don't go on and on about how crappy it was. Just make one point, not like a million. Hey the episode wasnt that bad I guess they are trying to build a stronger relationship between the team (if you know what I mean) but what really surprice me was the 3 brothers called moya
My last name is Moya so my first reaction was WTF[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] but unfortunatly this bastards discrased my last name[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]
the only thing nice is that I saw how to spell my name in japanase and I think moya means haze or mist one of the two.
haha, I just saw the anbu version of it. I thought it was funny. I really don't see the fuss about it being a filler. The anime is catching up to the comics very fast and thats not really a good thing. So about 2-3 filler episodes is fine with me. Could do with a small break from the serious stuff. But until a certain someone does a certain something then it'll get interesting. That I cannot wait for.
