Actually, I think the reason that it's there and showing a similar picture rather than a guy charging up or crying in the second panel is that it's the only one of those mangas that actually remained very entertaining (personal opinion) throughout it's duration so far instead of becoming a cheap power up, plot hole happy one.

As for posting a funny picture, I found this one on a 4chan comic thread which I thought was rather amusing.
