i think the red ring is there to distract your attention to the center of the picture, so that you'll be startled when you see the creepy black person that is peeking from behind the pillar.

It's an optical illusion/tactic they use. I learned a bit about it in my journalism class. Normally when you look at a picture without a glaring focal point, your eyes start from the top left then deviates in any number of directions toward the center. The red circle just makes sure your focus is on the red there. Once you figure out that there's nothing circled of interest you start scanning the picture because since someone told you something's there, there has to be something hidden.

It worked for me, though. First time I saw it I was sitting in a dark room staring at the circle, trying to make out a face or something. Then my eyes wandered left and I nearly had a heart attack .

I dropped WoW, and back then i could own someone who was 2x lvl higher than me(i owned lvl 60(pre bc) warrior with my shaman at 27, thank god that he haven't had intercept). So - when do we organize W3 or SC match?(I suck at normal w3 games, and at starcraft i'm not so strong too)
