PSJ: There has been some cannon fodders that he beats easiely but some fights are more important and you know will be long,like this one.
Also Take has never been knocked out so it should be a long match,cause of his tricks that might make ippo lose his pace.
I think Ippo will beat him fast to shows the readers once and for all that he is too good for Japan. Imagine Ippo beating a veteran with lots of tricks who can take damage incredibly well in just 2 rounds or so. That would show everyone that he is ready to step it up.
We will see but if ippo beat him that easy then the build up of Take is pointless.

The build up wouldn't be pointless at all, that's what makes this series so good, all characters get build up even if they are minor. The man is satisfied with just challenging the champion so to be beaten easily and to be the fighter the champion shows that he is ready for the world on would be enough for Take.
Did that make any sense? That was one hell of a long sentence.
But Take has been build up little more than usuall cannon fodder for Ippo. The thing about his record,nothing getting knockout,scaring Date,his kid making him never go down.
Since the Karasawa match was short and easy i hope this fight will be alittle more challenge for Ippo.
I really want to see Ippo move up, if this fight only lasts a few panels it will still be satisfying. It will last a bit longer though but i don't think it will last 2 vols.
I want nothing more than Ippo going after world and OPBF but this match is extra tricky cause what ever he says he cant focus solely on this game now that he is facing Miyata next. Thats what will makes this match harder than usuall.
Also i wonder what Take will do.

Ippo is starting to annoy me how can he let an old man out muscle and beat him in own game aka infighting. He wont be able to go the world level if he doesnt learn how to use tricks and fouls like this old man does.
I love Hajime no Ippo. I've yet to read past v65, though. Anyone here have 66- and up saved? If so, please send me? ^_^

Bumping up-- Ignition One's on vol. 73 in the thick of Mashiba v. Sawamura. I must say, I never thought I'd ever root for Mashiba until now @_@
Asshole vs bigger asshole huh?I've read up to 683 - I think it'd be totally in character if Mashiba just kept pounding Sawamura into the ground, but somehow I don't think it'll happen.
What? Mashiba is awesome, ever since itagaki started hanging out with Mashiba, he has grown alot as a character i really enjoy reading about Mashiba.

Does anyone know why there havent been any new chapters for a while?
The more pertinent question would be how they could possilby crank out so many chapters in such a short period of time. The team members probably burned out or need to catch up with other priorities, give them a break by not asking.
