Spiders kill other bugs, so that's a bonus. Unfortunately they'll also bite you for no reason, and usually their venom is worse than the other bugs'.
Wow, nice room Kraco! The plants and sunlight and organization really add something that's missing from everyone else's rooms. Can't say I like the e-machine-looking clone PC on your desk.

It's actually an Antec case. I always used to have those uber traditional beige cases in the past so when I built this machine I thought I wanted something else. Black and silver seemed like a nice change. Other than that, I still wanted a simple looking case with nothing fancy or extra like transparent windows, hatches, sliding doors, or things like that.Originally Posted by Animeniax

I built a machine for my dad with the exact same case.
I think I mentioned this before, but I used to lift weights between rounds of CS. It was great until my arms would get tense and tired from the workout, at which point I couldn't move the mouse properly and would die easily in the game.
Is that at the parents' house, Kraco? Looks like they gave you the best room in the place. Have those trees produced any edible fruit?

Nah, the trees haven't produced any fruit, not even flowers ever. I guess the bigger orange tree in theory could flower but I'm not any citrus tree expert so I can't really say. The avocado is an even bigger mystery.
First impression wasn't "a vile laboratory", but it does feel like you're a research scientist or something with all the neat, organised equipment, whiteboard etc. With the green plants and sunlight, it gives an idea that you may be a botanist, or other plant/wildlife researcher.
I rather like it.

Wow, you moved out when you were 18? Pressure... To be honest the idea of moving out hasn't even crossed my mind, i'd like to have a stable job b4 doing something like that and living alone seems too... lonely.
Been the same for me. Living alone is way to expensive, especially since I'm still going to college and not dorming.
I get free food, free rent, and free utilities. I guess it's a good thing that there's less pressure nowadays to live alone at 18, and more freedom to be stable first especially since NYC is hella expensive to live in.
Still bored and here is some pics of my room.
Egads, a CRT monitor?? Look at how much desk space you'd save with an LCD. And how cool would a nice poster be right over your desk? Or a mirror. A 52" flat panel would fill that nicely too.

Yeah, I know, but I got the monitor for cheap $30, so I just got it. Soon I should be a getting a nice HD TV to fill up the rest of the space on the desk.
I've got some posters in the wardrobe and on top of the book case thing, but just too lazy to put them up, and don't have any blu-tack.
Your bookshelf has everything but books... A nice and big window, though.
