    Whats a good encode to use

    Hi, I was wandering what encode aone was using to encode there anime.

    Well I can't say for sure, but most likely "aone" which is actually animeone, doesn't use all the same encoder software. *most* of the time it depends on the "encoder" which is the person who encodes the episode, usually depends on their preference, but who knows, aone might make all their encoders use th same. Of course encoder is the only thing I don't know everything about, but as far as I know AVIsynth is the most popular, but is sometimes a combination of many programs and plugins. Just wait for complich to come and reply, he will give you all the details.

    avisynth, virtualdub (virtualdubmod), xvid for the encoding.
    Vobsub/textsub for the text effects.
    Substation alpha for sub timing.

    We don't "make" encoders use the same software, but there's a set of basic standards that pretty much the entire fansub world lives by, to which the software that almost everyone uses lends itself very well.

    i think they should switch to ogg. It has jap/english. o wellz, no one is complainin
