    Elfen Lied

I think I did download episode fourteen( the one button on my keyboards gone crazy). Was it the one which Nana starts to live in Nyus house and then she intends to kill her but ended up being really good friends with her? That does explain some of her background. That scene when her friend was shot.....sniff.....sniff.....my tears really weld up.

Yeah that's it. Actually, does anyone have a link for it?

I wish this series could have continued. I love stuff like this..

    Elfen Lied

Is the love incestuous and pedophilic?

Because if it is, I'm down!

Elfen Lied and Aishiteru ze Baby..? Uhhuh... Both are shows that I really love, but those two aren't really similar at all. They both do have strong emotional connections between characters, perhaps, but that's hardly a specific similarity. Perhaps you could say a person who likes Elfen Lied is likely to like Aishiteru ze Baby, but that's too advanced psychology for me.

Air was just a weird series. Not bad at all, I kind of liked it. It does have some mystery aspect like Elfen Lied, and some tragic fates. Well, perhaps there is some slight similarity (certainly more than between Elfen Lied and Aishiteru ze Baby).

I mean, they are animes based on emotions, and love is the main issue in these 3 animes. Its true Elfen Lied is a very tragic story. Its a really dark and cruel world with a few "monsters" wanting to be loved. The cruel side of the story makes the love even more intense. Air and Aishteruze baby, on the other hand, are all.....lets say closer to us. They focus more on everyday life, although Air does have some mystery traits. You should enjoy Air and Aishteruze baby. Ive convinced many classmates and friends to watch them ( they didnt even know of the existence of animes) and I havnt heard of anyone not enjoying those two animes. Trust me, give it a try and you wont regret it.

Too be honest, there really isn't anything that similar to Elfen Lied. It's about as far from any series done before it due to the amount of violence with the romance that's piled into it as well.

The closest analog I can think of would be Speed Grapher. That has the same sort of groteque violence and disturbed individuals that Elfen Lied had. Berserk would also be another series with that same vein of violence and disturbing relationships involved. Mai Hime toward the end had some similar elements, but no where near the scale that these two did.

If you're implying in any way that people who'd like Ai Baby would like Elfen Lied necessary, as you stated the inverse, there's no way. On your same lines of thought, a more mature series like Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien or Saikano would be more appropriate.

I'd have to say no series is like Elfen Lied. Speed Grapher is pretty gruesome but the theme is very different. KGNE is fairly close in some ways, but it's also very life-like. Saikano has a happy ending imo, while Elfen Lied has a very sad and sympathetic ending.

Elfen Lied is truly unique in terms of what it brings as a whole package. Its individual aspects have many flaws, but the way everything is presented is what makes it amazing.
