I need help creating a non static ip

I portforwarded ports 6881 - 6999 a while ago and orginally I was able to get about 80 kib/s and now it has dropped back down to 10 kib/s. I'm assuming that it would help if I didnt have a static ip addy. Any tips or comments?

Having a static or dynamic IP address will not change the speed that you download from bittorrent. When you are 'leased' an ip address from you ISP (DHCP) then you have that ip address for the remainder of the release, which is normall about a day, then it rechecks with the DHCP server and it says, well you've only had this ip addres for 4 days, so you can use it for 48 more days (this lease time changes per ISP) and so you actually keep the same address most of the time. Of course all this changes if you have dail up. Think back, what changed between the 80kb/sec and 10kb/sec. Is some other application using the internet at the same time. Also remember that you bittorrent speed is based of off how many people are seeding/downloading the same files.
