Pah. Doom 3 Rawked. I was happy with it. Albeit the Multi player mode left much to be desired the single player was beautiful.
Single player was beatiful for doom 3 but when it came down to gameplay not much really changed from the originals. John Carmack would have learned so much more about game design if he didn't spend years studying light and shadow to make the doom 3 engine and just played the original half-life.
doom 3 was so boring i found, i got up to probably like the 3rd level, so i wasnt very far into it, but basically what i got from it is
-its dark take out the flashlight, oh shit a monster switch to ur gun and fire blindly into the darkness, yay monsters dead, look a pda, lets read it and find the combination to the safe to get the key to open the door. - rinse & repeat
well my uncle really wants me to get world of warcraft...im not sure. i like pvp but i heard pvp on wow is kind of chaotic.
World of Warcraft is supposed to be a fantastic game. Hell I would have probably bought it if one thing didn't get in the way. The monthly subscription fee. Thats where I draw the line when I have to pay $10-$15 a month just a play one game. Screw that, if you ask me thats a bit to hard to swallow especially when you consider the fact that if you pay 50 dollars you can play all of the online xbox games for a year.

When it comes to MMORPG's the price a month rarely ever goes down usually it goes up. As for WoW it started off great until you found out that a few classes are broken and need fixing, and then pvp has more rogues than anything else, because they can stunlock you to death instantly. also customer service is just plain horrible. which kinda sucks considering how great a company Blizzard is. The Warlock class alone is so broken that a majority of the players that have that class have either quit the game permanently or rerolled another class.And if you play pvp expect to be ganked....alot..by high lvl people looking for honor kills.
Hence the reason I love guildwars, from playing the beta all the classes seemed balance, and being a higher lvl really doesnt give you much of an advantage over a lower lvl except a higher spell repotoir(sp?) and a bit more mana and health. Also I compare the strategy in it to building a magic the gathering deck, you have a max of 8 spells and you can multi class (max two) and from there on most of it is skill and strategy.

Not really, course I never played Age of Camelot. but the game for one thing Has no monthly cost. you just buy it and play, although its not very time intensive. the lvl cap is 20. the story is ok not too bad but its mostly pvp that hooks you in this game. Like I said its big on strategy. there are the following classes. Necromancer, Monk, Warrior, Elementalist, Mesmer,Ranger. and each can do multiple thing. Like the Necromancer can make pets but can also debuff, leech, cast dots or even use corpses to make an aoe buff. and you can either have a pure class or choose two classes and combine them then use their skills as you see fit.
XBOX 360's pics can be found at magicbox. I'm no fan of the XBOX though, which I must say again is a total flop in Japan. Hope Microsoft scores better with the XBOX 360, which looked quite cool. For me I'll buy whatever system which has support from SquareSoft.

I'm not buying any next gen console until all of the cards all three competitors cards are laid face down on the table. I'm honestly hoping nintendo dosen't fuck things up with the revolution as badly as it did with the gamecube. Seems like there going in the right direction with DVD format, backword compatibility, and best of all built in wi fi support for online play. God knows how the hell it's going to work but a console with easy to use online play right out of the box with no extra wires is promising.
Only key franchise microsoft has for their first party is halo everything else just plains suck. Any of you looking forward to future instalments of brute force, crimson skies, or Mech assualt? I didn't think so. Microsoft did do a good job in securing third party developer support which helped them rivial sony. Although in the end PS3 is supposed to be much more powerful then xbox 360. I envision a similar senario to the one that happened with the dreamcast and ps2 with sony constantly showing off tech demos and encouraging consumers to wait for their super system as opposed to buying a dreamcast.

i have played 2+3 and 5+6 is a remake(it is isn't it??) and played FF10 on ps2 @ a frend so the only 1 left for me to play on the snes is 1 but i don't want crappy graphics i want some realistic action.
You're the type of guy that lets Square make shit like FFX-2. It's not about graphics that make Square's games good, it's the gameplay and story. Ever since the debut on PSX, all FF games after FF7 were disappointing. FF8 coulda been very good, but they ruined it completely. Then came FF9 and FFX, which just sucked ass. Then came FFX-2, which is a disgrace to the FF name it holds.but i don't want crappy graphics i want some realistic action.
I've played FF 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, X-2. To me the only disappointment was FFIX. Lousy story and characters. FFX was a great to me. Yes I know, linear story, no hidden characters, etc same complaints. But I loved the story and the characters. FFX-2 was the first FF direct sequel, which tells you how successful FFX was. It was a very good game to me as well, and it dares to be different. Sure there will be people who do not like it, but I enjoyed every minute of it and logged 99+ hours for it, almost the same time I spent on FFX. What I want to say is that the FFX series were not flops and FFX-2 is not meant to be a traditional FF game, and it delivered in terms of gameplay and character development. Not much of a disgrace to the FF name if you ask me. It sold well too as least in Japan and Asia. Not sure how well it was received in the US.

loved all the final fantasy games exept 9 (the only 1 i never finished...infact didn't even get off the first disc before i got bored) and X-2 which i havn't played yet
chrono trigger is the greatest rpg followed by FF7, Xenogears and Panzer Dragoon Saga im also a fan of the Shining series
also i want them to make a Dragon Force game on the current generation of console or better yet pc
i know they've remade it for PS2 as part of Saga Ages Vol 18 but i want a totaly new version
