    holy crap.

    in the past, i've critiqued these flashbacks with relative disdain for their rehashing of past events without revealing anything new.

    well, i take that back. this chapter was beautiful.

    FINALLY some background information on several of these questions we've pondered about sharingan levels, itachi's motivation, and why sasuke was left alive.
