Final Fantasy XI has been confirmed finally for a European Release i think the release date is the 1st September 2004 but i wouldent be surprised if this date is pushed forward also heres the Euro site

And you can juts fake your address, and play in Europe.
I'd be interested if you didn't have to pay monthly fees on top of the price of the game...but as it is...sod it.
the americans are on the same servers as the japanese ppl , so the europeans will be prolly put there too.
which is why i already imported this game from america when it came out. no point in waiting for european release.

I would get it if it weren't for that pay to play crap. I mean, its 50 bucks for the game, if your a huge FF fan, you'll get the external harddrive for ps2 which is somewhere like $60-100, and then that monthly fee. It looks really great though. But I'm gonna wait for Final Fantasy 12.
