Listen, the best swords arn't made in Japan, I collect nice looking swords, not just the best of the best. Back to the Japan thing, the best swords are made in Spain belive it or not. The absolute best. And just because the Katana is traditionaly made in Japan does not mean a thing, they have lost alot of the samurai heratige.

Anyway, I also know that for high quality swords you don't buy them online, you go to a good smith, and ask him to make you one. There is a smith in my City, I have bought about 10 swords off him, they are razor sharp, could prolly take off a head in half a swing.

Swords are a fickle matter anyway, some people like heavy swords with not much of an edge, some like rasor sharp ones meant to be use on light to no armor. It also depends on what your wanting to use it for, suck as armor, you'll want a heavyer (not too heavy) sword that can bash and no cut, or a shorter faster plunging dagger that can move right through armor like its not there.

let me guess, you live in Spain ._.

They may have lost their heritage, but the sword is still 1) a symbolic meaning in everyday life 2) a symbolic weapon of past times 3) a collectible for the rich..

and do fucking believe me that those rich buy a japanese sword and NOT a spanish katana ._.

I don't live in Spain, I just know where the best swords are made. Considering I have swords from both Spain and Japan, the Spanish swords are better quality, and I know your thinking that I prolly just got low quality swords from Japan, they are high quality, and good swords, just not up to the best of the best.

Oh one thing, I said swords, I did mention that they Katana was traditionaly Japanese, but the best arn't made there, you should prolly look to China, or Korea for the best Katana. You also may want to remember that even at the hight of power in Japan, the best Katana were made in China. Being that the Chinese were the first to make the Katana.

Hm ok my bad, Spain is better for traditional Cruisader swords ofc =)

And yeah, ok, So basically I was just adding The Chinese to the Japanese community , for the Koreans I disagree. They have never known a very high sophistocated society.

Spain is mainly known for their Rapiers.

And the Chinese and Japanese would take offence to being mentioned as one, they have a vary uneasy relationship, considering during WWII the Japs nearly took over all of China, and that they have vary diffrent cultures, and a history of war with one another.

    Sorry for babbaling.

Koreans have never had a vary sophistocated society no, but they do have a bloody past, and they have been able to hold onto most of their traditions. And they did make a Katana, though it looked slightly diffrent from the traditional Chinese/Japanese Katana, the only realy diffrence is in the handle.

Oh and just in case you are wondering where I live, its Canada.

hmm... it makes me wonder whether the sword in "kill bill" is actually worthwhile afterall... she went through great pain to obtain that sword... and she claimed it to be the best...

    RE: zabuza's sword

I just wanted to say that I make my own swords .

Next up is something between Nightmare's soul calibur from SC2 and a Buster Blade.

I make them out of wood and metal plates, because I don't have a forge, but maybe one day.

The heaviest I made was around 15 lbs, and I got pritty good using it too. In fact I made it for practicing with my bro.

lol in response to the previous comments about enjoying sniping absatz my cousing seriously asked his parents for a scope and a shovel for christmas (he already has a really nice rifle forgot the model though) and they flipped out it was hilarious.... hes so friggin good with a rifle though he trains in an olympic facility in atlanta and when we go skeet shooting he destroys my entire family and my dad and uncle have been shooting for like 40 yrs. oh and as of monday sept. 13 it is now legal to buy assault weapons lol which are just military looking semi-auto rifles such as the ar-15 god i love that gun.... of course in all honesty if i had to pick between gun and sword id prolly go sword theres more history in one and itd be more fun to mess around with iv got guns already dont need another one

    RE: zabuza's sword

    TruthofMistake, I'm lost there...

Some people are just good with rifles. O.o

I like the way you think though, take the sword over the gun. I have guns to, but I like swords more. And I belive had guns never been made, our world would be a much better place.

I like that quote of Albert Einstein. Bedeutend Figur.
