    summoning NO-JUTSU

juz wondering... dunno if naruto(or any other characters in the series) can summon more than 1 different types of summoning no-jutsu...
guess it'll be interesting to see a frog and monkey summoned by naruto and how they would squabble for his attention...

    RE: summoning NO-JUTSU

only person we've seen who can summon more than just a certain animal is orochimaru

and thats only if you count that forbidden resurrection jutsu as a type of summon

My guess would be 1 type of animal.

If the person can summon something else, then it's usually a very special jutsu, like summoning the death god for the 4th's sealing jutsu.

I belive its as manys as the types of animals you have blood contracts with. since you often only have one Sensei they you only get one contract but if Kakashi thought Naruto was good enough for his dogs then he mught let naruto sign it.

Like woofcat said, you can summon as many animals as you have a contract with. Most summons require a large amount of chakra though, so it's uncommon for someone to even be able to do more than one in a fight.

That's what i think. Like when Naruto wants to summon the big frog, he has to use his nine tails chakra.

nevertheless... i still tink it'll realli be fuckin cool if we can see all the variations of a particular animal... kakashi once summoned all the dogs out by using a scroll... lets hope naruto would be able to summon ALL the frogs out at once... :0
maybe i have an obsession wif monkeys but interesting it will be if we're able to see the monkey god's kids... haha

I guess seeing all of the different frogs or cats or badgers would be cool but we'll probably never see it in this show

    R.I.P Captain America.

Interesting speculation, well first we don't even know if you're able to have contracts with more then one 'animal' type.

But, for debate, let's say we are.

Naruto currently has a blood contract with frogs, in theory I suppose kakashi might allow naruto to sign it, even though kakashi is no longer Naruto's student.

But what about tsunade.. she might perhaps allow him to use it, again I don't know where the anime is, so I can't really say to much.. but.. well it's a possibility.

This is why i wish certain things were open discussion, but the open discussion board just stinks. To many people saying things they thought will happen and hasn't, trying to fit-in.

you mean sensei not student right? well what happens if naruto summons gama-bunta somewhere far away from jiriyai and then jiriyai summons him as well?

you mean jiraiya not jiriyai right? anyways..besides summoning an animal, i'd like to see use the forbidden summoning technique to bring back haku..he was a cool character and from what i remember, he was the first character introduced that died in the post 4th era

As long as you have the chakra, and the contract, and enough blood to last.

they said before, summon from a point where time and space don't matter. it wouldn't happen. but thats why there's a contract... not too many people can summon the same animal.

plus, don't you think that ero-sennin would ask naruto whether or not he wanted the toad as his animal? if it was final, it would have been a bigger deal than: "I'm gonna teach you a technique, sign here, here, and we'll need some BLOOOODS!!!"

    summoning NO-JUTSU

ask him if he wants frogs to be his summon? usually when a master takes you up as an apprentice, then you learn whatever he wants you to learn. He's not gonna let naruto sit there and look through a list as if he's picking out something at a restaurant. Besides, I'm sure the toad, snake, slug, and monkey are ALL really powerful summons if the sannins and sarutobi chose them.

edit: speaking of learning summoning from a master.....i wonder how jiraiya learned to summon frogs
if he learned from sarutobi, he would be summoning monkeys instead

I don't have the anime anymore that far back, formatted, but wasn't the name before Naruto's the 4ths?

In fact, i'm thinking, and I don't remember even seeing Jiraiya's name on it..

    Now i'm confused.

But, I definently do not remember seeing sarutobis name

Well the contract gets passed down from teacher to student, and most likely Jaraiya had another teacher after finishing with Sarutobi. The name after Jiraiya must be the 4th's because he used Gamabunta to fight the Kyubi.

    RE: summoning NO-JUTSU

the order of the names was Jiraiya, then something unreadable (which is supposed to be the 4th's), then Naruto's
you dont see any names before that....but clearly he didnt learn it from sarutobi, since that means that oro wouldve had to learn the snake summoning from him, and tsunade wouldve learned the slug summoning from him as well
