What would your dream team be, if you cold choose from all of the genin (including the ones from other villages).

I reckon the best would be

Sasuke
Neji
Gaara

Naruto
Gaara
Shino

if shikamaru wasn't a chuunin he would take shino's place xD

Shikamaru is over-rated. He is the smartest, but he was still getting beat by that sound broad. He is so weak. I think Shikamaru has topped out at Chuunin. There is no way he will become a Jounin. His 3 techniques will not be enough against stronger opponents.

Your Gaara, Naruto, Shikamaru team would be strong, but I would way rather have Neji. His Byakugan is so powerful. Even Hinata used it super effectively in the forest part of the Chuunin selection exam.

to whoever wrote this.. shikamaru is not over rated .. he is actually underrated by naruto fans .. only those who see shika's true strength thinks of him as a very powerful ninja ... his jutsus and strategies can surpass Nejis byakugan anytime .. also, in the shikamaru/temari fight, shika predicted temari's moves and i doubt neji can do that with his byakugan ...

I bet if they'd have some episodes beside 33 where all three were working together, this team would be more liked. Anyway, I just like this team because in the Naruto RPG for GBA, I like using Ino to mindcontrol one person, Shikamaru to shadow bind another person, and then have Ino's mind controlled person, Shikmaru's person if he's clever, and Chouji going at somebody 3 on 1

Shikamaru is totally overated nowdays... but i really can'y blame you guys, the brainygan skills he showed in the last fight were truely outstanding...

however, he himself addmitted that he can't beat Naruto (after the fight with Neji, and Naruto has gotten much stronger since), and his time was going to lose to the sound trio if Neji wouldn't have interfered...

Shikamaru is smart, but he's not fitting to a 'powerhouse' team, he goes well with Ino and Chouji becuase they have one heavy striker and two people to capture the other enemies...

My team:

Naruto for all his skill and he is good at coming up with good moves when its most needed.

Neji,he got a lot of good moves and his defence is extremly good,he is smart too he showed it when the fat sound ninja had all of the leaf genin locked in.

Lee,for his speed and he is a master of taijustu.

This team cant be beaten cause Neji can come up with strategis,Naruto comes up with brute force and Lee with the speed.

If they are in trouble Naruto has kyubi as backup and Lee can use gate 5 or something.

I want to see Lee using gate 5 or 6 without snaping a muscle that would be cool,he would chrush the person he is fighting.

Kabuto, Gaara, Naruto...

the only Genin team which could possibly take on any of the Jounins, including Itachi and the legedary three...

seriously, Kabuto tied with Tsunde alone, which means that at worse, he's a bit weaker than Jiraya and Orochimaru, add to that two demons who are able to call\transform into giant monsters, and you get quite the kill-team...

besides, Kabuto has his medical jutsu's to weaken his enemies, Gaara has layers of absaloute defences, and Naruto will just get up everytime you hit him, which means they are really hard to kill as well as they are super strong...

for tactical descions they have Kabuto, who as a spy, probably knows a shit or two about life, and even though Gaara and Naruto usualy fight alone, it seems that Naruto is capable of following orders and since Gaara has done A-ranked missions, i think he also know when to listen to others...


No matter who's up against those three, the outcome is usually death to thier enemies, wheather it's a genin team, a jounin or even one of the youmas, this team wins.


if a forth person is needed, then i'd put in Neji or Temari, Neji has the close range field covered while Temari has the long range attacks, it doesn't really matter, since if the three above couldn't beat the enemy, it's not likely neither Neji nor Temari could help...

I think you think a litte to high about Kabuto,just becasue he tied with Tsunade who didnt use 20% of her skill cause of the blood you cant say that he a litte weaker than the sannins! I think Kabuto is at best a litte above Kakashi maybe even not that.

lol you think much to high of both naruto and kabuto. all of the sannin were disabled during that fight, tsunade still had her phobia, jiraiya was drugged nad orochimaru didnt have any arms. kabuto is over estimated since naruto almost won. and kabuto shouldnt really be counted as a genin he is the freakin right hand man of orochimaru.

the best team is still naruto, shikamaru and gaara.

overating him? i think not...

let's see, he whacked 8 ANBU's down, who Kakashi stated in Sasuke's room to guard him from Orochimaru.
he fought Tsunde and tied with her even before using her blood phobia, and then he went on to fight Shinzune and to survive a Rasengan.

oh, and when he went up against Tsunde, he avoided all attacks be4 using the chackra scupler to weaken her muscles, otherwise he'd be dead...

and here are some quates about him..
"you're most likely not able to kill me" Orochimaru, while he had his arms working.
"it'd be dangerous, even for me, to go against two of the legendary three" Kabuto thinking while facing tsunde.

if you'd give Kabuto a rematch against any of the enemies he fought against, he'd probably win this time, unless you believe Naruto will be able to hold him down with clones long enough to use the rasengan (and please remember that Kabuto offed 4 clones in a second, while he was under the effect of Tsunde's attack), or that Kabuto would drop his guard against Tsunde again...

Shikamaru, on the other side, lost to the sound nins in masks, and no one who wears a mask and has a face which is identical to others can be strong, and that's a fact... Shikamaru can't fight in a true fight, and his tactic skills won't help neither Gaara nor Naruto in a serious fight, since those two will just go all out and smash thier enemies...

still overestimating kabuto. he is on the same level as kakashi. kakashi got whacked by itachi in 2 seconds and if kakashi is strong enough to go up against one of the sannin itachi would win easily which is not the case, he is very careful around them. kakashi might even be stronger than kabuto remember orochimaru saying "kabuto is about as strong as kakashi" oh and that ANBU arguement isnt that good ANBU is what you become when you first become jounin and the ANBU also got masks and are no name characters.

Kakashi couldn't move while facing one of the sannin (orochimaru), Kabuto went up against two of them (he only fought tsunde, but still, he made Jiraya into his personal enemy) and on the overalll count, he would've won (he beat Shinzune in three moves, he bitchslaped Tsunde into plup and he took the rasengan head on, and still had the power to be suprised).

and even though I admit that the ANBU members will never beat anyone, my argument still has a point; those 8 were stationed at Sasuke's room to protect him against Orochimaru, or at least to make sure that an alarm is raised when orochimaru gets there, Kabuto killed them all without even trying...

oh, and Orochimaru said "you most likely can't kill me, you're strong, but only about Kakashi's level", which means that if anything, Kabuto is between Kakashi and Orochimaru, according to someone who knows him good, and not from Jiraya's first imprssion.. and besides, Kabuto also scares (sort of, not exactly scares, but close enough) orochimaru, have you seen Kakashi treating Jiraya like that? Kabuto is being cynical to the stumck with Orochimaru, and even orochimaru can't read him..


Naruto, Gaara and Kabuto, the only genin team who can beat the sannin, and maybe itachi...

Remember Kabuto took the soldier pill which doubles his chakra when he was fighting Tsunade who was out of commission becdause of her phobia. If any of the Sannin fought him at full strength he would lose in a heartbeat and if they took a cheap soldier pill it wouldn't even be a fight. He's on equal level with kakashi if he was significantly stonger he logically would have killed instead of letting thwart Orochimaru's plans. He does have talent though and is one of my fave characters but he can't touch the healthy Sannin.

dont forget about that red eye thing he has we still dont know what that is(not even in the manga) so that thing could significantly increase his power to who knows what bounds, and since hes bad that a very BAD thing
