Hiya, you might know me from Naruto's credits, I'm the encoder. Anyhoo, being bored, I thought I'd sign up here and show some art I made a while ago.

Isn't Gaaras eye supposed to be green? If you're using photoshop, it would be easy to change the eye color using a select tool and the 'Hue/Saturation' modifier.

Nope. The color of the eye WAS adjusted, and using a color picker from the color used in the anime series. His eyes are blue.

maybe you should check again, his eyes are clearly a light pastel green.

anyways, i like how you layered them together
the eye seems to standout the most, the sand doesnt look entirely right to me. but i like how its done

That's just a couple quick screenshots that took me maybe 2 minutes to find.

It is pastel green, and if you look at the bottom right of the eye in your screenshot it IS green, the shaded area looks bluish because shadows are often done in a bluish-grey tone. I do alot of digital coloring and artwork in photoshop, so I know.

If you still think they're blue, maybe you should get you eyes checked.

EDIT- Here is a quick attempt at adjusting the eye color, it's still a little off but I'm too lazy to spend alot of time on it.

Maybe the whole anime coloring stuff threw you off, but technically, that's still blue. Eye pigment is grouped into three colors, blue, green, and brown. The blue pigment is always very close or equal to cyan, which in turn is a neighbour to green. What gaara has is definitely not green enough to be called green, it's more of a slight deviation to blue. After all, do people say they have grey eyes when they actually have blue eyes that are very close to being grey? Well some do, but it's certainly not normal. I could fix the color to be slightly more green, but I'm not changing a finished product. In any case your adjustment is too extreme to even consider, sorry.

PS: I do digital coloring and artwork as well, so I know just as well, if we need to tote skills.

i'd say gaara's eye color is green......
but i'd also agree with you that you have a fairly accurate color for the eye in the wallpaper. Its just the fact that the wallpaper itself is so dark, that it distorts the interpreted eye color.
