To be able to see the movement imo, not to copy as nothing we have seen so far hints to him being able to copy something that you can't see especially when he isn't making eye contact(gates are inside and there is no technique to do it involving hand seals) Though he did use it like you said but I don't think to copy the gate opening ability.Originally posted by: Uchiha Barles

Oh...that makes sense. Can't believe I didn't think of that. As far as I can tell, that doesn't discredit the possibility that he did copy the technique, but I just went from positive that he did, to not really knowing.

Team A: Bring Naruto along so he can have the childhood picnic he never had
Team B: Get Drinks
Team C: Get Food
Team D: Ask other murderous wanted nins to come along so they can have a break away from hiding and plotting to get revenge and murder someone, something, destroy some place, etc.
So Akatsuki isn't a bad organization. They just want peace, love, and undertsanding for all fellow nins.
And yes ramen and tie dye fruit loops would own.

Not really, I just wanted an explanation of what else he could have possibly been doing with the sharingan out that wasn't simply a waste. The answer was obvious but I didn't see it for some reason. Either way, it's over now.

I agree. That was some AWESOME peace and love shown to Sasuke. Also, Itachi's heart is so black that his fire can't even come normally. This brand of peace and love, we need more of it!

Obviously man! Thats what i call hardcore brotherly love. Damn if I had a little brother like Sasuke I'd slap him around silly and give him warning threats and tell him to survive in an unsightly way so that one day he could kill me. Just show you how much you care for your little brother. ::Being serious now:: And who knows (unless you peeked into the manga), maybe Itachi's ultimate goal was to get Sasuke stronger than him... I dunno just a thought because he let Sasuke live for some reason and he did mess around with Sasuke (poke him on teh forehead and leave a lil mark.) So maybe Itachi does care for Sasuke... but he shows it in a strange way... just like little kids who don't know how to show their emotion example: Boy pushes girl to the ground and she lands in a puddle of mud, boy runs off yelling "I LIKE YOU!!!~~~"
::Edit:: They get their money from charity work. Thats another plus about Akatsuki, since they are all for love and peace and stuff they also do charity work. I believe one day they will all come to Konoha and rebuild the buildings that were destroyed during the invasion. As you can see, Orochimaru was kicked out of the group NOT because he feared Itachi (that was his lame excuse to show his badassness to umm...forgot his name purple clothes wearing glasses dude) but the real reason was because he could not care enough for people. He hurt people but it was not out of loving hurt, he just hated them. So he was banned from Akatsuki.

I think using Tsukuyomi is Itachi's way of showing respect for a fellow being. Like when Itachi used it on Kakashi. He didn't kill Kakashi but instead just messed him up psychologically. And when he did it on Sasuke, Itachi just wanted to remind Sasuke of how much he loved Sasuke by showing him the past and how he showed so much affection towards him and no one else.
