    In ep. 80, Iruka mentions something to the fact that the fire will burn on in the leaves of Konoha.

    I guess that explains the whole leaf-fire connection. The Hokage is the fire and it fuels from the leaves (villagers)... Reminds me of the saying about: "True power is fighting for someone that is important to you"

    i think konoha's forehead protector stands for leaf being on forehead and stands for highly consentrated
