^ so ur saying like cutting?
Yeah
Wow. That is really really tough. Must be from some religious catholic school. Or probably in a boarding school..
Hmm. My school, If I were caught playing truant. I'll be given the cane. and tomorrow I'll be leaping over the gates into the dreamy arms of the cybercafe's. That was 3 years ago.
MmmMmm. Ooiiishiii
nah man it wasnt no catholic school lol. if you skipped a lot theyd bring you to court and if you kept skipping then they would put you on probation or lock you up. but if you were 16 or over then they would just drop you. im assuming your in hs btw...
No thats not how it works, personally i quit 10th grade this year for just this year and had to deal with truancy, the thing is you can take a leave of absence and stuff like that, but even if you did it illegally your parents are held responsible not you, and yea if your over 16 and have passed 10th grade then they just drop you
Wow u people got mad strict rules...
If we cut then we cut lol.. the teachers dont give a dam. the security guard dont give a dam. during the middle of the period I just give the guards a pound and be like peace. then they like aite. and i leave... lol
well my old school wasnt strict they just didnt give a shit, theyd rather have you locked up then taking up space in school, or theyd send you to an alternative school.
Never heard of such strict enforcement of jailtime for children not attending school. There must not be much crime or anything to arrest for, because that just seems retarded to me.
my friend skipped 48 days of his senior year in HS.....and was tardy to one of the classes like more than half of the days that he went to school, and still had no problem graduating with the rest of us

1. court with parent
2. probation
3. juvenile hall
then you couldent go back to that school for the rest of the year, you can go to an alternative school for the rest of the school year, then you can come back.
whenever i want, but usually around 2 or3 even on school days but the latest i eve stayed up was about id say the whole night and day and after that i was asleep for abut 2 days
what is this thing called sleep and where can i find some
How much do i suck with photoshop?
was The Next Hokage
I have. Over here a woman got convicted and sent to jail because her daughter was almost constantly truant. It happened about a year ago I think, but she got taken to court again recently because the situation hadn't improved and her daughter was still skiving. She was the first parent ever to be convicted of such an offense.Originally posted by: KonohamaruCorps

unless the mom had control over her kid skipping classes, then i'd have to say that is pretty lame to send the parent to jail for that

I don't got a bedtime. Usually I'll go to 12/1 am if I'm not watching something. I'll watch tv then I wall a sleep
I think the argument was that a parent should be responsible for a child under 16, and that the mother wasn't doing enough to get the child to go to school. It did cause controversy at the time, as people put the argument forward that it was the child (I think the kid was about 14/15) who was responsible for her cutting school and not her mother, but others said that parents should be responsible for their children until they are at adult age and leave school (over here that is 16).Originally posted by: AssertnFailure

Seemed as if it worked though...
interesting.....but to put the parent in jail as a way to scare the children still doesnt seem fair though to the parent

its basically like if you cant handle your kid then you need to let the state handle it, and if you dont do anything to stop your kid from skipping then its your fault, thats why parents can get locked up too.
and if you cant handle your kid then you need to be locked up away from society?
wow it must suck to have rebellious children then
