i just saw some "mtv top 22 mc's", where people vote the best 22 rappers (obviously). the most people voted tupac. it was like
4. nas (i think)
3. eminem
2. big
1. tupac
i was surprised to see a list without 50 cent [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] i only liked a few of those guys in the list, but if i had to choose #1, it'd be rakim (from that list), who was around #10. lil kim was in like top 10 :/
you shouldn't even pay attention to whatever MTV put up, cause it's all crap
yeah cos anythign that sells well is crap aint it. the thing thats most popular MUST be crap.
my point exactly. mtv has ruined rap. and rock. and all music.
chambers: most of it, since it has target audience. there's decent mainstream, like maybe nas.
but some guy in nyc or philly without a label, in his friends home studio is the most honest rap you can get.
rap sucks.

yea i watched that 22 greatist mcs and it was wack. i like em and all but i dont consider him great yet. i just found out now rappers are getting paid to put brands into their songs :/

Question. Who do you think is the greatest "female" rapper? Past, present, living or expired. My vote's on Lisa "Left-eye" Lopes. She had a good flow and she was also a pioneer in the rap game. Her style influenced other artist including....(well I won't give it away).

yeah so far a lot of talk about rap stars but not necessarily hip hop... hip hop doesn't play on the radio, most of you are mistaken with that corporate sludge known as pop i mean rap..only mc is eminem and he sold out but is still good..
