I'm really looking forward to this album. The cover art is by a famous Japanese pop artist. I'm surprised the song with John Mayer isn't on it, I heard it will be released as part of the Japan exclusive. Anyway discuss...

I'm not up-to-date at all in the scene. I'm captured in the era of Five Deez, it's all I'm listening to...
Like: Fat Jon & Styrofoam with tracks like: Bleed and Space Gangsta from the album The Same Channel...
I'm saying folks, they're a little out there, but try to listen to them, they're like in a whole other dimension!

The Hip-Pop today is fun and all but when a decent artist like Kanye West already had badmouthing about his producing style, I think it's really lame using Daft Punk's originallity to make some stupid "I wanna ... you" song of it. I dunno how he got Daft Punk to co-op with him, but it's a bunch of bullshit.

Lately I've been on a retro kick...some De La, Pharcyde, and i copped the new Kano...yet I'm a bit disappointed. I know he has that fire in him, but he's not bringing it like he should.

This is the first cd I have bought in a very long time. Didn't like it the first time i listened to it, but now i think its a pretty solid cd after listening to it probably 20 times so far. mine is only 13 tracks, i dont think i have the skits idk. anyhow, favorite tracks from sk's track list :1,3,8,10,12 . thats why i say its a pretty solid cd, has about 5 songs that i like.

Worst track? drunk hot girls and the one with lil wayne... that is the worst flow(lil waynes) in the history of all rap / hip hop music, seriously.... that shit is whack.

I hate Lil Wayne as much as the next man, but check out the track found on the mixtape I Can't Feel My Face called Badside by Wayne and Santana, the beat is fucking hot! The flow I dig also although the contents is about bullshit again...
Just a track to get ya bounce on! Swizzie is HOT man!

Edit: Just to not doublepost, anybody ever heard of Aim?
He's also into HipHop but he's more instrumental like, cause he's a producer.
Anyway he doesn't make raw HipHop or anything like that but more mellow ambient Trip-Hop sounds. I think he's real good, kinda like Nujabes or Fat Jon but in his own style. His latest album is Flight 602. Check him out.

Saul Williams - The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!

    http://niggytardust.com/

    Produced by Trent Reznor.

    1. Black History Month
    2. Convict Colony
    3. Tr(n)igger
    4. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    5. Break
    6. NiggyTardust
    7. DNA
    8. WTF!
    9. Scared Money
    10. Raw
    11. Skin of a Drum
    12. No One Ever Does
    13. Banged and Blown Through
    14. Raised to be Lowered
    15. The Ritual

Only available online, 192 for free, $5 gets you FLAC/320/192 (your choice). Compleatly DRM free. The album is worth far more then $5 IMO, but if theres ever going to be a starting point for cutting out the record labels, this is it. Fuck Radiohead and their bait and switch move with In Rainbows. Support the future of the industry, an affordable one where more of your money goes twards the people who do the real work.

And just to throw more shit into the fan, this blog entry was written by Rob Sheridan who's spent years working with Trent Reznor through all the label-hopping the the man has done:

Quite possibly the best rant about the state of the Music Industry. <win>

Oh, and this is the first hiphop album I've actually enjoyed in almost a decade. Though maybe it's just the industrial influence.
