i watched a WoW PvP video and it had music by Kamelot on it. Not a big metal fan but this really got me into it.
The one i keep listening to is Center of the Universe.

Center of the Universe = brilliant. Kamelot was the first metal band of which I bought a record. 2001's Karma, to be exact.
And on a tangent, how many of you guys heard of Black Mages?
It's Final Fantatsy music + metal. It's so bad ass.
Nobuo Uematsu is a brilliant, brilliant man. I just love the Advent Children OST.
I swear, he's a closet metal head.
Of course he is, all japanese are closet metal heads.
The Advent Children OST is nothing compared to his game OSTs though, IMO.
Definately. FF7 and FF8 had GREAT music.Originally posted by: Terracosmo

Though not as great as FF6.
Hah, all cool threads eventually get sub-derailed into Final Fantasy discussions

I really need to go and beat FF5 and FF6. I always end up quitting around the end game.
got a link to the Black Mages?
i tried some torrent spy and torrent reactor, but one does not have it, and the other's not downloading for me.
Oh HEEEEEEEEEEELL no! The sacred metal thread must remain unblemished! In an attempt to veer this thread back to its sublime purpose, anyone have any recommendations for metal bands in the vein of industrial metal? I'm a big nine inch nails fan, and would like something a lot more "metallic" with the same dark feel and loudness, and electronic influences. I'm already very familiar with Rammstein.Originally posted by: Terracosmo

A couple of Bands I heard on Pandora that are worth a shot are Ayreon and Agathodaimon. Ayreon's latest album features Dream Theater's James Labrie on vocals, and often times, he sounds better on that record than he does with his original band.

You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood."

Did you try Deathstars? You'll love them. I think you'll also like KMFDM, and certain works by Ministry.
Ayreon is so-so. I'm not really into progressive metal at all. Agathodaimon I'm not too familiar with
You answer to all metal is DC++ and the hub MetalPunk.
Particularly when Terra is online so you can leech from him like PSJ does all the time. ^_^
@Uchiha Barles: Check out Laibach. They're like Rammstein, but they're not laughed at in Germany for being ripoffs. (You see, Rammstein is a joke in Germany. They are apparently a complete ripoff of Laibach.)
@PSJ ... and really anyone else... Am I the only person in the world that still actually BUYS CDs? I download music too, but if I really like it, I'll buy it. Especially if the band is on Century Media or Nuclear Blast. I love those record labels.
Barles.. Agathodaimon sucks, don't waste your time.

Yep, I buy CDs all the time. Everytime I go out to purchase music, I buy at least one CD of music I downloaded. If I'm getting 4 CDs or more, I try to make it so that half of what I'm purchasing is music I've already downloaded. When I get a real job, I'll make sure to quickly own a copy of all the CDs I have on my harddrive. Sure its because I want to support the artist, and not be a thief, but its mostly because the CDs are shiny and in pretty packages. And I like to show them off.Originally posted by: Giboc

I spend allmy money on weed and I have to listen to music while I'm smoking so yeah... they get supported by me when they get their asses out on the road and get some touring experience.

Hell no, I'm an avid disc collector. Without exaggerating I can say that half of my money goes to buying music.Originally posted by: Giboc

Oh and I wouldn't categorize Laibach as metal, by the way ;S
I wouldn't categorize industrial as metal either. We're both stretching the definition here.Originally posted by: Terracosmo
